A bodysuit does one thing a top cannot: it stays put. This one by Kalimo has a deep V-neck, cups that are gathered into soft folds and wide straps over the shoulders.
It is sewn from microfiber, 87% polyamide and 13% spandex, in a plain colour. There are four sizes, S to XL, and two colours: a light one and black.

The piece: models 168164 and 168165 by Kalimo
The supplier describes a bodysuit in a plain colour that goes with jeans as well as with a more formal outfit. It mentions cups designed with a crease, wide shoulder straps that are comfortable to wear, and a pleasant microfiber fabric.
The supplier files it under shapewear bodies. Its text makes no claim about shaping, and neither do we. What the photos show is a smooth, close-fitting body with a brief-cut back.
One thing about the light version. The button says White and the maker says beige; in the photos it is a white to ivory. The fabric is thin, and in that colour it shows what is underneath.
Who it's for
For you if you are tired of tops that ride up out of high-waisted trousers or bunch under a skirt. A body gives a flat line at the waistband.
The V is deep and the cups are unpadded as far as the photos show. If you want more support or cover, plan to wear it over a bra or under a jacket.

Fabric and feel: microfiber with 13% spandex
The composition is 87% polyamide and 13% spandex. The maker calls it a pleasant microfiber. Microfiber is a fine, smooth yarn, which is why the body lies flat under clothes and has a slight sheen in the photos.
With 13% spandex it stretches in every direction. The fabric is thin, so the light colour is not opaque.
Fit: choose by chest and hips
The maker gives body ranges. S is for a chest of 84 to 89 cm and hips of 91 to 95 cm. M: 90 to 94 and 96 to 100 cm. L: 95 to 99 and 101 to 105 cm. XL: 100 to 104 and 106 to 110 cm.
There is no torso length in the table. With a body that is the measure that decides comfort, so if you have a long torso, take the larger size when you fall between two.

Styling: jeans by day, a suit by night
The maker names jeans and a more formal outfit. With high-waisted jeans and a blazer the black one is an easy evening look. Under a trouser suit, the V-neck replaces a blouse.
The light one works under a sheer shirt or a cardigan worn open. A long necklace sits well in the V.

The maker calls it a crease. In the photos the fabric of each cup is gathered towards the centre of the V, which gives soft folds over the bust on an otherwise smooth body. It is the one detail that makes this more than a plain base layer.
