The supplier gives the size as about 35 x 36 x 27 cm and the build as Oxford fabric over PE board and EVA. It gives no maximum pet weight, so check the size against your animal before you order. There are five colours.

Materials and build: fabric over a shaped shell

The supplier describes the build as "PE plate + EVA composite Oxford cloth". In plain words: woven Oxford fabric on the outside, with PE board and EVA foam under it that give the bag its shape. The dome is clear plastic.

The supplier says nothing about a floor pad, a leash clip inside or the way the bag opens. We would rather tell you that than guess. Ask us if one of those points decides it for you.

The supplier gives three figures, 35 x 36 x 27 cm, without saying which is the height. In the photos the bag reaches from the wearer's shoulders to about the waist.

There is no maximum pet weight and no weight for the empty bag in the supplier data. Compare the three figures with your pet lying curled up and sitting upright.

Styling: five bright colours

Blue, orange, purple, red and yellow, each with black mesh. None of them is discreet, and that has a practical side: a bright backpack is easy to spot in traffic and in a waiting room full of grey carriers.

When you'll use it

Think of the trip to the vet, a walk through town or a ride on public transport. Let your pet get used to the bag at home first, with the flap open and a familiar blanket inside. Keep trips short at the start.

Care: a soft cloth for the dome

The supplier gives no care instructions. As general practice, wipe the dome with a soft damp cloth so it does not scratch, and brush or vacuum the hair out of the inside. Let the bag dry fully before your pet goes back in.

The wow detail: the dome

The dome is what people notice. It curves outward, so your pet can push its head into it and look left and right. Expect strangers at the traffic light to wave at your cat.
