A rotating makeup organiser that turns 360 degrees

This rotating makeup organiser stands on a base that turns all the way round, 360 degrees. You spin it to bring the back to the front. According to the supplier the shelves come apart, so you can rearrange them to suit what you own.

There are three styles. The clear one with a diamond pattern is about 33 cm high and 27 cm across. The frosted white and the black one are about 34 cm high and 22.5 cm across. All three are plastic, and the makeup in the photos is not included.

Who it's for

For you if your dressing table or bathroom shelf has turned into a row of bottles three deep. A tower uses height in place of width, and the turning base means nothing hides at the back.

Measure the spot first. At 33 to 34 cm high it needs clear space above it, more than most shelves in a bathroom cabinet offer.

Materials and build: plastic, type not stated

The supplier lists the material as plastic and does not say which kind. We prefer to tell you that plainly. The clear style is see-through, so the colours of your products show. The frosted white is matte and half see-through. The black one hides what is inside.

The supplier gives no weight and no figure for how much a shelf can carry.

Size and dimensions: two footprints

The clear diamond-pattern style is the wider one: about 33 cm high and 27 cm across, as printed on the supplier's photo. The frosted white and black styles are a little taller and slimmer, about 34 cm high and 22.5 cm across.

A note on that second set of figures. The supplier's measurement photo shows the clear version of the same plain design, not the white or black one itself. We expect the size to be the same, but allow a small margin when you plan the spot.

Styling: show it or hide it

The clear style suits you if you like your bottles and lipsticks as part of the room; in the supplier's photos it stands on a white dresser against a grey wall and the products supply the colour. The black style does the opposite and turns a busy collection into one dark shape.

Occasions

It is a practical present for someone moving into a first flat or a student room, where every bit of surface counts. For yourself, the right moment is the day you decide the bathroom shelf needs sorting out.

Care: take it apart and wipe it

The supplier gives no care instructions. As general practice for a plastic organiser: lift the shelves out, wipe everything with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, and dry it before you put it back together. Scouring pads can leave scratches, which show most on the clear style.

The wow detail: the back is as close as the front

On a normal shelf the things at the back get forgotten. Here one turn of the base brings them round. That small movement is why a round tower works better on a crowded table than a wide tray.
