The shape is straightforward: a high waist, a wide straight leg and pleats at the front that give the hip area a little room and a soft fall. The belt is removable, so you can wear the trousers with the buckle facing front, swap it for your own belt, or wear them without one entirely. The closure sits at the side rather than the front, which keeps the waistline clean.

The sizes run from XS with a 66 cm waist to L with an 80 cm waist. If you are between sizes, the side zipper means there is no stretch at the waist, so size up if you prefer a little room. The leg is long, so check the outseam against a pair you own if you are shorter or taller than average.

Fabric and feel

The supplier has not yet confirmed the fabric composition for these trousers. We are checking with them and will add the exact materials to this page as soon as we have the answer.

From the photos the fabric has a smooth, matte surface and holds the pleats and the wide leg shape cleanly. We do not make claims about weight, stretch or breathability until we have the composition on file.

Fit and silhouette: high waist, wide leg, long length

The trousers sit high on the waist, with a front rise from 35.5 cm in XS to 37.4 cm in L. The leg is wide and straight, with a leg opening of 56.8 cm in XS going up to 61.2 cm in L. On the model the hem reaches the floor and covers the top of the shoes.

The outseam runs from 106.1 cm in XS to 108.5 cm in L. The waist has a side zipper and no elastic, so it fits to the measurement in the table. The supplier notes a tolerance of 0.7 to 2 cm on all measurements, depending on the part.

Styling: dressed up or down

The supplier's photos show the trousers with a black tank top and a cropped leather jacket, both good reference points. The chocolate brown works with black, cream, white, navy and camel.

For a casual look, wear them with a white t-shirt, white sneakers and a denim jacket. For the office, pair them with a tucked-in blouse, loafers and a blazer. The belt is the main detail, so keep jewellery simple if you wear it buckled at the front, or swap it for a thin leather belt if you want a quieter look.

Because the leg is wide, a slightly fitted top on top keeps the silhouette balanced.

Occasions

Care: machine wash cold

The supplier says to machine wash cold and not to tumble dry. Follow the sewn-in label as well, as it may have additional instructions for this specific fabric. Hang them to dry to keep the shape of the pleats and the waistband.

What sets these trousers apart from a plain wide-leg pair is the wide belt with its large, rounded gold-tone buckle. It sits at the narrowest part of the waist and draws the eye there, so the trousers feel finished even with a simple top.
