Hanging Glass Wall Vase for Cuttings, 12 Shapes
For displaying plant cuttings on the wall with a hand-blown glass vase.
Description
A glass wall vase for cuttings, in 12 shapes
This is a small glass wall vase that hangs against the wall and holds water for a cutting or a few stems. You pick one of 12 shapes: a cone in three sizes, a slim cone, a hexagon, a round one, a heart, a flower, a diamond, a bulb, a teardrop or a square tube.
Each vase hangs from a glass loop at the back, and the supplier includes wall nails. You get one vase per order. The plant is yours to add.

The piece: clear glass with a loop at the back
The idea is simple. A clear glass shape hangs on a nail, you fill it with water, and a cutting grows roots where you can see them. In the photos the water line and the roots show through the glass from the front.
We sell it without a brand, because the supplier data names no maker. The supplier sells the same vases in packs of two and three as well; on this page every order line is a single vase in the shape you choose.
Who it's for
For you if your windowsill is full of jam jars with cuttings and you would like them somewhere nicer. A wall takes no shelf space, so this also suits a small kitchen, a hallway or a bathroom with a bit of daylight.
It is a small gift for someone who swaps plants with friends too. Add a cutting from your own plant and it becomes personal.
Closer look: what you get and what you don't
- One glass vase in the shape you pick (supplier)
- A glass loop at the back for hanging (supplier)
- Wall nails included (supplier)
- Opening at the top; the cones end in a point (photos)
- Clear glass, so water and roots stay visible (photos)
- No plant, no sand, no pebbles: those are props in the photos (supplier)
Two photos show a small blue fish in a vase. We sell this as a plant vase and would not keep a fish in it.
Material and build: glass, in the supplier's words
The vase is glass. The supplier describes it as high borosilicate glass and says it is hand-blown. We have not tested the glass type ourselves, so we pass it on as the supplier's statement.
What the photos confirm is that the glass is clear and uncoloured. The loop at the back is glass as well, made as part of the vase. The supplier gives no wall thickness and no weight.
Size and dimensions: five shapes with measurements
The supplier printed measurements on the photos of five shapes. The small cone is about 15 cm high and 5 cm across, the medium cone 18 cm by 7 cm and the large cone 21 cm by 9 cm. The hexagon is about 13 cm high and 13 cm wide. The round vase is about 13 cm high and 12 cm across.
For the heart, flower, diamond, bulb, teardrop, square tube and slim cone the supplier gives no measurements. In the group photo they look similar in scale to the shapes above, but we cannot give you a number. If the exact size matters for your wall, ask us before you order and we will check with the supplier.
Styling: one vase or a small cluster
The first photo shows nine vases in different shapes spread over a white wall, and that is where this design works well: as a loose group at different heights. Remember that each order is one vase, so add the shapes you want one by one.
A single cone next to a mirror or a doorframe is quieter and just as nice. A light wall shows the green and the roots most clearly.
Occasions
Hang one up when you have taken cuttings and want to follow the roots. It also makes a housewarming gift that costs the receiver no shelf space, or a small present for a colleague with a bare office wall.
Care: fresh water and a careful hand
The supplier gives no care instructions. As general practice for a small glass vase: take it off the nail to refill it, change the water regularly so it stays clear, and rinse it by hand with lukewarm water.
A vase filled with water is heavier than an empty one. Check that the nail sits firmly in your wall before you fill the vase, and use a wall plug where your wall needs one.
The wow detail: you watch the roots grow
In a pot the roots stay hidden. Here they are the main view. A cutting that hangs at eye level in clear glass shows every new root, and that makes it oddly hard to walk past without looking.
