Glass Ball on Gold-Tone Metal Branch Stand
For shelves or tabletops—glass ball decor with a branch-shaped metal stand.
Description
A glass ball on a gold-tone stand of metal branches
This is a decorative glass ball that rests on a metal stand shaped like twigs. The stand has a polished gold-tone finish. The ball comes in amber-coloured or clear glass.
You choose between two stands. The low one is about 15 cm high and 17 cm wide and cradles the ball close to the table. The tall one is about 26 cm high and 14 cm wide and lifts the ball up on slim legs. Each order is one ball with one stand.

The piece: twigs that hold a sphere
The stand is modelled on twigs, with small knots and bends, and that is what keeps it from looking stiff. On the low version the ball lies in a cradle of crossing branches. On the tall version slim legs rise and hold the ball between their tips.
We sell it without a brand, because the supplier data names no maker. The supplier also offers the low and tall piece together as a set. On this page you order them one at a time.
Who it's for
For you if a shelf or a console table needs one object that catches the light. It suits rooms with warm metal accents, and people who would rather own one striking piece than a row of small ones.

Materials and build: a copper alloy and glass
The supplier is not consistent about the stand. The description says "brass" and the title says "copper". Brass is an alloy of copper, so we describe it as a copper alloy and leave it there. We have not tested the metal. The gold tone is the colour of the finish; the stand is not made of gold.
The ball is glass, according to the supplier. The supplier calls the amber version "Golden"; in the photos it is a see-through yellow-amber. With packing the piece weighs about 2 kg, so this is a heavy object for its size.
Size and dimensions: low and wide, or tall and slim
The supplier's size photos give the low piece as about 15 cm high and 17 cm wide, and the tall piece as about 26 cm high and 14 cm wide. Both figures include the ball.
The diameter of the ball itself is not given. Going by the size photos it takes up well over half the height of the low piece. If you need the exact diameter, ask us and we will check with the supplier.
Styling: alone, or as a pair at two heights
In the supplier's photos a low and a tall piece stand side by side on a shelf and on a coffee table. The difference in height is what makes the pair work. If you want that look, order one of each.
The amber glass looks warm next to brown and cream tones. The clear ball is cooler and takes on the colours around it.
Occasions
It makes a housewarming or wedding present that does not need a size or a wall. At home it earns its place on a sideboard in the hall, where daylight moves through it during the day.
Care: two hands and a soft cloth
The supplier gives no care instructions and does not say whether the ball is fixed to the stand. Treat it as loose: lift the ball off before you move the stand, and use two hands. Dust both parts with a soft dry cloth.
One general caution for any clear glass ball: it can bundle sunlight like a lens. Keep it out of direct sun, away from a south-facing windowsill.
The wow detail: the room, upside down
Look into the ball and you see the room behind it turned upside down, sofa on the ceiling and all. The supplier's photos show it clearly. It is the kind of thing guests notice and then cannot stop looking at.
