The supplier lists copper for both the pendant and the chain, with an electroplated finish. The product name says gold plated, but there is no gold content or plating thickness in the data. We have no hallmark or certificate on file for this piece. So read it as a gold-coloured layer on copper, and treat it as fashion jewellery.

Plated jewellery can wear at the spots that rub most, such as the back of the chain. Keeping it dry helps it keep its shine.

Size and length: what we know

The supplier sells it as a clavicle chain, which usually means it sits around the collarbone, but it gives no chain length and no pendant size. We would rather tell you that than guess. If you need the exact length, ask us before you order and we will check with the supplier.

The whole necklace weighs 6 to 10 g, depending on the letter. A W is simply more metal than an I.
