A cross pendant necklace that sparkles

This cross pendant necklace is fully set with stones. The cross is 42mm long and 24mm wide, silver in colour, with small clear stones around the edge and a row of square stones down the centre.

You choose the colour of that centre row: clear, lavender, crimson or blue. It hangs on a 24inches rope chain, about 61 cm.

The piece: a flared cross on a rope chain

The arms of the cross widen towards the ends, which gives it an old, almost medieval outline. The bail, the loop the chain runs through, is 9.5mm long and set with stones as well. The chain is a twisted rope chain in the same silver colour.

The option names in our shop say "Diamond Cross". According to the supplier the stones are cubic zirconia, not diamonds, and we would rather be clear about that. We sell it without a brand, because the supplier data names no maker.

For anyone who wears a cross and wants one that catches the light, or who likes bold, sparkling jewellery over a plain T-shirt or hoodie. At 61 cm the chain is long, so the pendant sits on the chest. It suits women and men.

Materials: the supplier's statement

According to the supplier's graphic, the base metal is brass and the surface is rhodium plated, which gives the white, silver-like colour. It is silver in tone, not made of silver. The stones are cubic zirconia, a man-made stone, according to the same graphic. We have no hallmark or certificate on file for this piece.

The supplier does not state whether the piece is nickel-free. If you react to certain metals, keep that in mind.

Size: 42mm on a 61 cm chain

The pendant is 42mm long, 4.2 cm, and 24mm wide, so it is clearly visible without being heavy: 4.8g for the pendant and 13.5g with the chain. The chain is 24inches, about 61 cm, a length that falls mid-chest on most people. The supplier does not describe the clasp.

Styling: over plain colours

A pendant this sparkly looks at home on black, white or grey. Wear it over a T-shirt or a fine knit, alone or with one shorter plain chain. The clear version goes with everything; the crimson and blue are for people who like a colour to return in their outfit.
