From the front, this trapeze dress by Awama is as simple as a dress gets: a round neck, short sleeves and an A shape. The back is where the work is. A seam runs across at waist height, deep pleats open below it and the hem drops lower than in front.
The maker gives a length of 85 cm in front and 96 cm at the back in size XS. The fabric is 60% polyester, 35% viscose and 5% spandex. One colour is available, a raspberry pink.

The piece: one colour left of three
Awama made this dress in a light pink, a raspberry pink and a light blue. The photos show all three. The supplier now has only the raspberry pink, model 195870, which sits behind our button pink 2. The buttons pink and blue can no longer be delivered.
The maker describes an asymmetrical mini trapeze dress with contrasting pleats on the back. The web address of this page still says navy floral. The dress is plain, and it has never been navy.
Who it's for
For you if you do not want anything tight around your waist or hips. A trapeze cut hangs from the shoulders and widens on the way down.
The longer back also helps if short dresses make you careful when you bend or sit. Here the back has 11 cm more length than the front.

The table lists two lengths per size. XS is 85 cm in front and 96 cm at the back, S is 86/97, M is 87/98 and L is 88/99. The chest runs from 80 cm in XS to 92 cm in L.

Styling: shoes with a block heel
The model wears white mules with a low block heel. That suits the dress: a short A shape looks good with a shoe that has some weight. White trainers work for daytime.
Keep jewellery at the ears or the wrist. The neckline is wide and plain and looks clean without a necklace.

The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the dress. Hang it up after washing so the pleats at the back fall into place again.

Turn around and the dress changes. Below the back seam the fabric folds into deep pleats that open when you walk, and the hem swings lower than the front. In the photos the inside of that hem flashes a brighter shade. People notice it when you leave the room.
