The piece: models 204259 to 204262 by Awama
Awama is a label we buy through a fashion wholesaler in Poland. Four model numbers sit behind this page, one per colour, and the supplier uses the same description for each: an evening maxi dress in velour with sequins, with a fitted cut, delicate shoulder straps and a covered zipper.
The photos show a V-shaped neckline at the front and a low, straight back between the straps. The dress follows the body to the hip and then widens a little towards the hem, so there is room to walk.
In the pictures the grey is a bright silver and the red is a dark wine shade. White is the unusual one. A white sequin dress is rare, and it is the version that looks most like a dress for a bride's evening party.
Who it's for
For you if you have an evening coming up where the dress code says long, and you want to be noticed for the right reasons. Sequins do the work, so you can keep everything else simple.
It is a fitted dress. The supplier says the cut follows the waist and the hips, and the size table agrees: 74 cm at the waist and 96 cm at the hips in M. If you prefer a loose evening dress, this is not that.

The supplier does not say whether the dress is lined or where it was made. Sequins can feel scratchy under the arm on any dress, so if you have sensitive skin it is worth asking us to check the lining first.
Fabric and feel: velour under the sequins
The composition is 95% polyester and 5% spandex. The supplier describes the fabric as velour with sequins. Velour is a knit with a short pile, and here it is the ground that the sequins are attached to. The spandex gives the stretch a fitted long dress needs.
In the photos the sequins are small and close together, and they catch the light across the whole surface.
Fit and silhouette: close to the hip, long to the ankle
The table below comes from the maker and is the same for all four colours. Size S has a chest of 88 cm, a waist of 70 cm and hips of 92 cm. Size XL has 104, 86 and 108 cm. Length goes up by a centimetre per size, from 141 cm to 144 cm.
On the model the hem ends at the ankle with heels. With thin straps the length is fixed, so compare the number with a long dress you own. Choose by your hips: that is where a fitted sequin dress is least forgiving, and the stretch will take care of the rest.

Styling: let it shine alone
In the photos the dress is worn with heeled sandals and nothing around the neck. That is good advice. A sequin dress already has a lot going on, and jewellery competes with it.
Small earrings and a plain clutch are enough. For the walk to the venue, a black blazer over the shoulders or a plain long coat works better than anything with a pattern. Wear your hair up if you want the low back to show.
Occasions
The supplier suggests special occasions, evening outings and parties. We would name New Year's Eve first, then a gala, a prom or a wedding with an evening dress code.
A note on the white: as a guest at someone else's wedding, choose another colour. For your own wedding party, a civil ceremony or a milestone birthday it is a strong choice.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data we receive has no care instructions, so please go by the label sewn into the dress. With sequins that matters, because heat and friction are what loosen them.
Store the dress inside out or in a garment bag so the sequins do not catch on other clothes.
