These high-waisted tapered trousers by Factory Price sit between two worlds. The maker calls them sweatpants. In the photos, with pumps and a belt, they pass for office trousers. The legs narrow to a wide cuff with a row of decorative buttons.
They come in one size: 97 cm long, with a waist that stretches from 76 to 136 cm thanks to elastic at the back. The fabric is 70% viscose and 30% polyester. Two shades of beige are available.

The piece: two beiges left of seven colours
Factory Price made these trousers in seven colours, each with its own model number.
What you can order are the two beiges. Model 219598 is a camel beige; our button calls it Taupe. Model 219602 is a light, creamy beige; the button says beige 2. The supplier calls both simply beige.
Who it's for
For you if you want the comfort of an elastic waist at work and do not want it to show. The elastic is only at the back. The front is flat, with pleats and a belt.
One size will not suit everyone. The hips measure 106 cm and the length is fixed at 97 cm, so check both against trousers you own.

Fabric and feel: a viscose blend
The fabric is 70% viscose and 30% polyester. The maker describes it as pleasant to the touch. In the photos it has a fine texture and enough weight to hang in a clean line from the hip to the cuff.
The supplier lists no stretch fibre. The give in the waist comes from the elastic, and the room in the leg from the cut.
Fit and silhouette: roomy hip, narrow ankle
The maker's table gives one size: 97 cm long, 106 cm at the hips and 76-136 cm at the waist. The waist range is wide because the back is elastic. The belt lets you fix it where you want it.
On the model the trousers sit high on the waist and end just above the ankle. The cuff is fitted, so the leg does not slide down over the shoe.

The photos pair the trousers with a fitted top tucked in and pointed pumps. That is the right idea. The high waist and the button cuffs are the two things to show, so keep tops short or tucked and shoes low-cut.
With white trainers and a sweatshirt they go back to being joggers. With a blazer in the same beige they come close to a suit.
