A jumper with short sleeves sounds odd until you own one. This one by Italy Moda is a loose, open knit in a fluffy yarn, with a round neckline and sleeves that stop above the elbow.
The yarn is a blend: 62% acrylic, 18% polyester, 8% wool, 8% viscose and 4% alpaca. It comes in one size, 58 cm long, and the colour you can order is yellow.

The piece: model 207600 by Italy Moda
Italy Moda describes a sweater with a classic cut, a smooth pattern, standard length, short sleeves and a round neckline, meant for everyday wear and for work.
The gallery shows six colours. Only the yellow, model 207600, is still available at the wholesaler. Pink, light blue, beige and lilac are gone, and the off-white in the last photos has never been one of our options. An earlier title on this page called the jumper pink; that colour can no longer be ordered.
Who it's for
For you if you are warm indoors and cold outside, which describes most offices in spring. Short sleeves in a knit keep your body warm and your arms free.
The blend contains wool and alpaca, 12% together. If your skin does not tolerate animal fibres, this is not the jumper for you.

Fabric and feel: a five-fibre blend
The maker's composition reads 62% acrylic, 18% polyester, 8% wool, 8% viscose and 4% alpaca. The supplier's table uses the Italian word Lana for the wool. Acrylic makes up most of the yarn, so this is a synthetic jumper with a share of animal fibre, and we describe it that way.
The maker says the blend gives comfort and pleasant warmth. In the photos the yarn is fluffy and the stitch is open, so you will want a top underneath; the skin shows through the holes.
Fit and silhouette: one size, wide and short
The maker's numbers: length 58 cm, chest 116 cm, hips 92 to 138 cm. A chest of 116 cm is roomy, and 58 cm is on the short side, so the shape is boxy.
On a small frame it will hang loose and wide. On a larger frame the ribbed hem stretches, up to 138 cm according to the table, and the jumper will sit closer.

Styling: yellow with blue or white
The photos put the yellow jumper with dark blue jeans, and that is a strong pair. White trousers or a white skirt make it a spring outfit.
Wear a thin long-sleeved top underneath on cold days, in white or in a stripe. The short sleeve over a long sleeve is half the charm.
Occasions
The maker mentions everyday wear, work and outings, with trousers and with skirts. We would add the first terrace day of the year, when you want colour and still need wool.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the sewn-in label. Fluffy knits with wool and alpaca generally do not like a hot wash or a tumble dryer, and they keep their shape when dried flat. An open knit also catches on jewellery, so mind your rings.
The wow detail: the yarn
Up close it is not a flat thread. It is a fluffy, slightly loopy yarn knitted loosely, so the surface looks soft and a little irregular, like something made by hand. In yellow it reads as sunshine on a grey day.
