What you can order today is model 210839, the beige one in the first photos. Our colour button for it says "White", but the fabric is a pale stone beige.

The maker calls the neckline Spanish, meaning it sits below the shoulders and leaves them bare. The trousers are described as high-waisted and long, with a concealed zip on the side and slip pockets.

Who it's for

For you if you want an outfit for an occasion and do not feel like a dress. A matching top and trousers in one pale colour reads as dressed up, and you can still walk, sit and eat in comfort.

Fabric and feel: linen with viscose

The maker's table lists 70% linen and 30% viscose (it uses the Polish word "len" for linen). Linen is cool to wear and has a dry hand. Viscose makes it softer and helps it hang, which a wide trouser leg needs.

In the photos the beige fabric drapes smoothly and has a slight sheen in the light. Expect it to crease when you sit, as any fabric with this much linen does. The supplier gives no fabric weight and does not say whether the trousers are lined. In a colour this pale, skin-tone underwear is the safe choice.

Fit and silhouette: two sizes, one length

There are two double sizes. XS/S has a waist of 72 cm and hips of 98 cm. M/L has a waist of 76 cm and hips of 102 cm. The difference between them is only 4 cm, so if you are usually a clear L, compare these numbers with trousers you own before you order.

Both sizes share the same lengths: 41 cm for the blouse and 110 cm for the trousers. On the model, in heels, the hem touches the floor. If you are shorter you will want a heel or a tailor.

Styling: keep it quiet around the neckline

In the photos the set is worn with heeled sandals and a small pale shoulder bag. I would add earrings and leave the neck bare, because the ruffle already frames it.

The pieces work apart too. The trousers with a fitted black top make a clean summer evening look. The blouse with a slim skirt or straight jeans is easier for a daytime party. Gold-tone jewellery warms up the beige.

Occasions

The maker suggests special occasions. Think of a summer wedding as a guest, a garden party, a graduation, a holiday dinner by the water. Because it is trousers, it also suits events where you will be on your feet for hours.

One note for weddings: this beige is pale. If the invitation asks guests to avoid white, check how it looks in daylight first.

The maker's data has no care instructions, so follow the labels sewn into the blouse and the trousers. Linen blends in general like a cool wash and pressing while still slightly damp, but the label decides.

The sleeve starts in a ruffle at the shoulder line and ends in a frill at the wrist. Between the two it is full and soft. That echo is what holds the blouse together, and it is why the plain trousers are the right partner: they give the eye a long calm line to rest on.
