Fabric and feel: a soft blend with stretch

The composition is 62% polyester, 33% viscose and 5% spandex. The maker describes it as a soft blend that gives comfort and a good fit. In the photos the fabric is matte and has the smooth face of a sweatshirt jersey.

We do not know whether the inside is brushed. The supplier lists the weight of the set at 450 grams, which suggests a light to mid-weight fabric.

Fit and silhouette: wide on top, short below

The sweatshirt has a chest of 122 cm and a length of 51 cm: wide and short, so it sits on the waistband of the skirt. The skirt measures 44 cm in length, 90 cm at the hips and 66-94 cm at the waist.

The pleats open over the hips, so the 90 cm in the table is the skirt at rest, not the limit. The waist range is the practical guide: if yours falls between 66 and 94 cm, the skirt fits.

Styling: sneakers first

The photos show the set with white sneakers and bare legs, and that is how it looks most at home. White socks pulled up a little pick up the white of the lettering.

In colder months, add black tights and chunky boots, and a long coat on top. Worn apart, the skirt takes a fitted T-shirt, and the sweatshirt goes over jeans or leggings.

Occasions

The maker calls it a set for everyday wear. Think of lectures, shopping, a cinema night, a city trip where you walk all day. It is casual from top to hem.

Pleated skirts are usually stiff. This one is cut from the same soft fabric as the sweatshirt, so the pleats are wide and relaxed and the waistband gives. It looks like a tennis skirt and wears like loungewear, which is a combination we do not see often.
