This two-piece set by Makadamia pairs a tight thing with a loose thing. The dress is fitted, sleeveless and midi length, in a ribbed cotton knit. The sweatshirt is short and wide, with a V-neck and ribbed cuffs. Worn together they look like one outfit with a built-in layer.
The set comes in one size, in 90% cotton and 10% spandex. Brown, beige and black are available.

The piece: model 209600 to 209602 by Makadamia
The maker's description speaks of a fitted dress in midi length and a loose top with a V-neckline. It mentions the ribbed structure of the fabric, sleeves whose ribbed cuffs let you adjust the length, and a short waistband on the top.
In the photos the brown is a mocha and the beige a light cream. The old title of this page only said "two-piece set". We added what the two pieces are.
Who it's for
For you if you like a body-hugging dress and want a way to soften it. The sweatshirt covers shoulders, arms and the top of the dress, and it leaves the skirt part to show.
One size has limits here. The dress measures 64 cm at the chest and 68 cm at the hips before stretching. Rib gives a lot, but this set is cut for a slim to medium figure.

Fabric and feel: cotton rib with 10% spandex
The composition is 90% cotton and 10% spandex. The maker says the ribbed structure makes the fabric both elastic and compact and leaves you free to move. In the photos the dress has a fine, even texture and lies smooth over the body.
Fit and silhouette: read the table as two garments
The maker's table gives two numbers for length and chest. The sweatshirt is 44 cm long with a chest of 120 cm, so it is short and very wide. The dress is 116 cm long with a chest of 64 cm, a waist of 60 cm and hips of 68 cm, all measured before the rib stretches.
On the model the dress reaches mid-calf and the sweatshirt stops at the waist.

Styling: three outfits from two pieces
The photos show the set with white trainers, and the dress on its own. That already gives you two looks. The third is the sweatshirt over high-waisted jeans or a shiny slip skirt.
In autumn, add ankle boots and a long coat over the full set. The colours are plain, so a printed scarf has room.
Occasions
The maker suggests everyday meetings and relaxed days at home. We agree, and we would add travel days and a casual office. Without the sweatshirt and with heels, the black dress can go out for dinner.
Care: follow the labels
The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the labels sewn into both pieces. Wash the two together so the colour stays the same, and dry the dress flat to keep its length.
The wow detail: the gap at the waist
The sweatshirt ends exactly where the dress is narrowest. So you get a wide, soft shape on top, then the waist, then a long straight line down. It is the same idea as a jumper tucked into a pencil skirt, without the tucking.
