The piece: a pinstripe two-piece by Moni Wear
The set is sold under the label Moni Wear. The supplier calls it a denim set, and in the photos it does look like dark denim, with light contrast stitching along every seam. The composition the supplier gives is 95% rayon and 5% polyester, though, and that is not what cotton denim is made of. So we describe it as a denim look and leave it there.
The colour is sold as black. In the pictures it is a very dark blue-black, with thin white stripes running top to bottom on both pieces.
Who it's for
For you if you like the idea of a suit but not in July. The pinstripe gives the set a tailored look, the bare arms and short legs keep it cool.
It also suits anyone who wants more wear out of one purchase. The top goes with trousers and skirts you already own, and the shorts take a plain tee without complaint.

Fabric and feel: rayon with a denim look
According to the supplier the fabric is 95% rayon and 5% polyester and has no stretch. Rayon is a viscose fibre. We cannot tell from photos how heavy the cloth is, and the supplier gives no weight.
Because there is no stretch, the measurements in the size chart are the measurements you get. That makes the chart worth a minute of your time.
Fit and silhouette: neat on top, wide in the leg
The top is short and shaped. In size M it measures 99.1 cm at the bust and 55.9 cm in length, with a shoulder width of 35.1 cm. In the photos the hem lands just over the waistband of the shorts.
The shorts in M have a waist of 74.9 cm, a hip of 109 cm and a length of 40.9 cm. The waist is the measurement to check first, since nothing gives. Between two sizes we would go up and wear a belt if needed.

Styling: suit rules, summer version
The photos show the set with black heeled sandals, sunglasses and a brown shoulder bag. Flat sandals or white sneakers make it more casual.
Apart, the top works as a waistcoat over wide trousers, and you can leave the lowest button open as in one of the pictures. The shorts look good with a white shirt, half tucked. On a cooler evening an oversized blazer over the whole set finishes the suit idea.
Occasions
Wear it for lunch in town, a summer drink after work, a city trip or a garden party where a dress feels like too much. In an office with a relaxed dress code the top will do fine with long trousers.
Care: machine wash cold
The supplier's care instructions: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Dark fabrics keep their colour longer when you wash them inside out with other darks. That last tip is ours.
