These high waist active shorts are two layers in one: a loose outer short with a curved hem and a fitted inner short with a pocket on the thigh.
The fabric is 95% polyester and 5% spandex, slightly stretchy. There are eleven colours, in sizes XS to XL.

The piece: two layers and a wide waistband
Our supplier describes pocketed high waist active shorts, slightly stretchy, in 95% polyester and 5% spandex, imported without a country named. In our shop they carry the label Chic Comfort.
In the photos the waistband is wide, smooth and sits high. The outer layer is loose and its hem curves up and overlaps at the side. Lift it and you see a fitted inner short with a pocket; the pictures show a phone in it. A short column of small dots that look reflective sits near the hem.
Who they're for
For you if you run, walk or train and are tired of holding your phone. The pocket sits on the inner short against the thigh, under the loose layer.
They also work as plain summer shorts. The supplier calls them active shorts and makes no performance claims, so we make none either.

Fabric and feel: light polyester with spandex
The composition is 95% polyester and 5% spandex, and the supplier calls it slightly stretchy. Polyester dries quickly, which is why most sport shorts are made of it. In the photos the outer layer looks thin and smooth, and the waistband has a denser, matt look.
The supplier gives one composition for the whole product and does not describe the inner short separately. We cannot confirm that the dots near the hem are reflective; they look that way.
Fit and silhouette: high rise, short leg
The waist measures 55.9 cm in XS, 59.9 cm in S, 64 cm in M, 70.1 cm in L and 75.9 cm in XL. Those are small figures; the waistband stretches, and the supplier does not say whether it measured it relaxed. The length is 31 to 35.1 cm and the inseam 7.6 to 9.4 cm, so these are short shorts.
The hip is 98 cm in XS, 102.1 cm in S, 105.9 cm in M and 112 cm in L, then jumps to 128 cm in XL. That last step looks like an error in the supplier's chart, and we show it as given. The US sizes the supplier lists are 2 for XS, 4 for S, 6/8 for M, 10/12 for L and 14 for XL, which is a better guide than the waist figure alone.

Source: the supplier's size chart, given in inches and converted to centimetres by us (1 inch = 2.54 cm). The hip figure for XL (128 cm) is a much larger step than between the other sizes; we show it as the supplier gives it.
Styling: a crop top, or an oversized tee
The photos pair every colour with a white cropped top, which shows off the high waistband. An oversized T-shirt half tucked in works just as well away from the gym.
Black, white and dark gray go with everything. Neon green, coral and orange are for days when you want to be seen on the road.
Occasions
Wear them for a run, a walk, a gym session, tennis with friends or a hot day in the garden. With the phone pocket they are handy on any outing where you would rather leave your bag at home.
Care: cold wash, low dryer
The supplier's care instructions: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Wash the white and the bright colours apart the first few times; that tip is ours.

From the outside you see a clean pair of shorts. The pocket is on the inner layer, flat against the thigh, so your phone is held close and does not bounce in a loose side pocket. You reach it by raising the hem.
