The photos show the shorts laid flat. The waistband is gathered, the cord matches the fabric, and the surface has the slightly uneven, crinkled look you expect from a flax blend.

Fabric and feel: cotton with flax
The composition is 70% cotton and 30% flax. Both are plant fibres. Cotton makes the cloth soft against the skin; flax adds the dry, cool hand and the creases that linen is known for.
Expect it to crease. That is how a flax blend behaves, and it is part of the look. The supplier gives no fabric weight and no stretch rating.
Fit and silhouette: check the chart
Size L has a waist of 75.9 cm, a hip of 102.1 cm and a length of 48.3 cm. The length runs from 47.5 cm in M to 50.8 cm in 3XL, so the hem sits above the knee on most men.
The waist figures are small: 71.9 cm in M and 87.9 cm in 3XL. That is most likely the elastic lying relaxed, but the supplier does not say. Choose by the hip, 98 to 114 cm, and size up if you are in doubt.
