The piece: a knit that looks like a little jacket
Four flap pockets and a collar give this cardigan the lines of a small jacket, the kind you might know from a boucle blazer, but in a soft textured knit. Two pockets sit at chest height and two lower down. The buttons are round and gold-tone (photos).
The knit has a grid texture of small squares, and the collar, cuffs and hem are ribbed. It is the pattern that keeps a plain colour from looking flat.

Fabric and feel
The supplier writes "Polyester" as the fabric. Following our house rule for a single declared fibre, we list it as 100% polyester, as declared by the supplier. The supplier also says the knit stretches.
We have no fabric weight, so we can't tell you how thick it is. In the photos the knit is open enough to show its texture clearly, which suggests a mid-weight cardigan for over a top rather than a heavy winter knit.
Fit and length: short on purpose
The length runs from 47 cm in S to 49 cm in L. On most women that ends around the waist or just below it, so it works well with high-waisted trousers or a skirt. Measure from the top of your shoulder down to see where 48 cm falls on you.
The shoulder is narrow, 34 to 36 cm, and the sleeves are 58 to 60 cm long. The supplier says the knit stretches and asks you to allow 2-4 cm difference.

Styling: gold buttons, light colours
Buttoned up, it can be worn as a top on its own, with wide cream or camel trousers. Open, it goes over a white T-shirt with straight jeans. The gold-tone buttons pair well with small gold-tone earrings, and a dark skirt makes the off-white stand out more.
Occasions
Wear it to the office on a day without meetings, to lunch with your mother, or to a spring wedding over a light dress when the evening turns cool.

The supplier data has no care instructions, so follow the sewn-in label. With a light colour and textured knit, it helps to wash it inside out and dry it flat, so the knit keeps its shape.
