The supplier lists polyester as the material and gives no percentage. Polyester scarves are light for their size and dry fast, and they do not itch the way some animal fibres can.

The two faces in the photos suggest a double-woven cloth, where the pattern on one side is the reverse of the other. The supplier does not describe the weave.

The length is 184.9 cm, converted from the supplier's 72.8 inches. That is long enough to wrap once around your neck with both ends hanging, or to fold double and pull through the loop.

The supplier gives no width. In the photos the scarf covers a mannequin from shoulder to shoulder, so think of it as a scarf that can double as a wrap.

Styling: which side out

Wear the heart side out for a calmer look, or fold the striped side forward when you want colour. With a loose drape you see both at once, which is how the photos show it.

Beige goes with camel and cream coats. Grey has the brightest hearts and lifts a black or navy coat. Brown is the autumn one, with cream and orange.

Occasions

Wear it on cold commutes, on weekend walks, at the Christmas market or over your shoulders in a chilly office. It is also a nice thing to give in December or for Valentine's Day.

Care: no instructions from the supplier

The supplier gives no care instructions for this scarf, so follow the sewn-in label. If there is none, a cool hand wash and drying flat is the careful route for a fringed scarf. That advice is ours.
