These corduroy wide leg pants pull on like joggers and hang like tailored trousers. The waist is elastic with a drawstring, the legs are wide from hip to hem, and there are pockets.
The fabric is 100% polyester corduroy with a fine rib. You can choose brown, black, army green or dark blue, in sizes S to XL.

The piece: soft-waisted corduroy by Axelle
The trousers are sold under the label Axelle. Our supplier lists two features, a drawstring and pockets, and one fibre: polyester.
The photos show the rest. The waistband is gathered, with a cord that ends in two light tips. Just below it, small pleats give the front some room. The legs fall straight and wide and, on the model, pool over the shoes. The close-ups show a fine, even rib.
Who it's for
For you if you want the look of corduroy without a stiff waistband and a zip. An elastic waist forgives a big lunch, and the drawstring lets you decide how high or low the trousers sit.

Fabric and feel: fine-rib corduroy in polyester
Corduroy is the ribbed, velvety fabric you know from autumn trousers. This one is made of 100% polyester. The supplier gives no fabric weight and does not mention stretch, so count on the elastic waist for comfort and not on the cloth.
In the close-ups the rib is narrow and the surface looks soft and matte.
Fit and silhouette: wide from hip to floor
The waist is given as a range, from relaxed to fully stretched: 66 to 96 cm in S and 79 to 112 cm in XL. The hip measures 102.1 cm in S and 118.1 cm in XL. On the model the trousers sit low on the hips, which adds to the length.
One note on the chart. The supplier lists exactly the same figures for length as for hip, from 102.1 cm in S to 118.1 cm in XL. A length that grows that much between sizes is unusual, so read it as an indication. What the photos do show is a leg that reaches the floor.

Styling: short on top, chunky below
The photos pair the trousers with a white crop top, tan boots and a long beige trench coat. The idea behind it is simple: with this much width below, keep the top short or fitted.
A fitted knit tucked into the waistband works too, and so does a cropped jacket. Choose shoes with some sole. Chunky boots or platform sneakers lift the hem off the pavement, and thin flats tend to vanish under the legs.
Occasions
Wear them on a day in town, to lectures, on a train trip or for a slow Sunday. Black and dark blue can pass at a casual office with a neat knit. Brown and army green look most at home at the weekend.
Care: cold wash, low dryer
The supplier's care instructions: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. We would turn the trousers inside out first, because the ribbed pile picks up lint from towels in the same load. That tip is ours, not the supplier's.

The legs are the point. They start wide at the hip and stay wide, so the corduroy moves like a long skirt when you walk. With the cord pulled tight and the waistband low, the shape is very late nineties, and we mean that kindly.
