A sweater vest with a contrast edge and gold-coloured buttons
This sweater vest is a short, sleeveless knit with a V-neck and a button front. A scalloped trim in a contrast colour runs around every edge, and the buttons are gold-coloured.
The knit is 95% polyester and 5% elastane, slightly stretchy. It comes in ivory with black trim or black with white trim, in sizes S, M and L.

The piece: a knitted waistcoat
Our supplier describes a contrast trim button up sweater vest, buttoned and slightly stretchy, in 95% polyester and 5% elastane. It is imported, with no country named, and sold in our shop under the label Fashionista Finds.
In the photos the front closes with five buttons and the hem dips into two points, like a tailored waistcoat. The ivory vest shows two small pocket flaps at the front. The trim follows the neck, the front edges, the armholes and the hem.
Who it's for
For you if you like the waistcoat trend but want it softer than suiting. A knit version moves with you and can be worn on bare skin, as the model does, or over a shirt.
It is cropped, 41.9 to 43.9 cm long, so it pairs with high waists. With low-rise trousers a strip of skin will show.

Fabric and feel: a fine knit with elastane
The composition is 95% polyester and 5% elastane, and the supplier calls the knit slightly stretchy. In the photos it is a fine, dense knit that holds its shape at the edges.
The supplier gives no weight and does not mention a lining. The ivory is a warm off-white, a shade creamier than the white jeans it is photographed with.
Fit and silhouette: close and cropped
The vest is cut close to the body. The bust measures 81 cm in S, 85.1 cm in M and 90.9 cm in L; the length is 41.9, 42.9 and 43.9 cm.
Those are garment measurements, and the knit stretches only slightly. If your bust is above the figure for a size, go one up. Worn over a shirt you will want that extra room as well.

Styling: black and white, with gold-coloured accents
The photos show both colours with white wide-leg jeans, a black shoulder bag and chunky gold-coloured jewellery that echoes the buttons. It is a complete look in three colours.
For work, wear it over a white shirt with tailored trousers. In the evening the black one goes well with a glossy skirt.
Occasions
Wear it to the office over a shirt, to lunch on its own, to drinks or to a dinner where you want to look put together without a jacket. In spring and early autumn it replaces a top; in winter it becomes a layer.
Care: cold wash, low dryer
The supplier's care instructions: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. We would use a laundry bag for a knit with buttons and trim, and wash the ivory apart from dark colours; those tips are ours.
The wow detail: the scalloped edge
The trim is not a flat stripe. It runs in small scallops, like a line drawn by hand around the vest. In black on ivory it outlines every edge; in white on black it does the same in reverse.
