Description
A long cable-knit cardigan with buttons all the way down
This long cable-knit cardigan from AT is the layer you leave on a chair by the door from October to March. It is 75 cm long, has a round neckline and long sleeves, and buttons from top to bottom.
The knit mixes several patterns, which gives it more to look at than a plain cardigan. It comes in one size and in five soft colours.

The piece: an AT cardigan in five colours
AT is a label sold through a Polish fashion wholesaler, which files this piece under cardigans. The supplier calls it a casual button-up sweater with a long length, a round neckline and a varied texture. Each colour has its own model number.
In the photos the colours are a light pink, a cream beige, a mint green, a light grey and a camel. The supplier lists that last one as brown and our button calls it peach; camel is closer to what you see.
Who it's for
For you if you want a cardigan that covers the hips and can replace a jacket on a mild day. At 75 cm it does both.
It comes in one size with a chest of 116 cm. On a smaller frame it will look oversized, as it does on the models. On a fuller figure it will sit closer. Compare the 116 cm with a cardigan you like before you order.
Closer look: what the supplier's data and the photos show
- Long length and long sleeves (supplier's data)
- Round neckline (supplier's data)
- Buttons along the entire length (supplier's data, photos)
- Varied knit texture: cables and diamond panels at the front, a honeycomb pattern on the back (supplier's data, photos)
- Ribbed band at the neckline, cuffs and hem (photos)
- Dropped shoulders (photos)
- Total length 75 cm, below the hip on the model (size table, photos)
The supplier mentions no pockets, and we see none in the photos.
Yarn and feel: an acrylic blend
The composition is 53% acrylic, 29% polyester and 18% polyamide. There is no animal fibre in it. The supplier says the blend gives softness and pleasant warmth.
In the photos the knit is chunky, with raised cables you could trace with a finger, and the fabric still drapes when the cardigan hangs open. Acrylic blends are light for their volume, so a cardigan this size doesn't pull on the shoulders. The supplier gives no weight.
Size and fit: one size, 116 cm around
The supplier gives two numbers: a total length of 75 cm and a chest of 116 cm. That is all there is, since the cardigan comes in one size.
The shoulders are dropped and the sleeves are wide, with a ribbed cuff that holds them at the wrist. On the models the hem falls below the hip. Knitwear gives, so 116 cm is not a hard limit, but the look changes: loose and slouchy on a small size, neater on a larger one.
Size chart (cm)
| Size | Total length | Chest |
|---|---|---|
| One size | 75 | 116 |
Source: the supplier's size table, the same for all five colours. With a chest of 116 cm this reads as the garment's own measurement.
Styling: three ways to button it
The photos show the cardigan worn three ways. Fully open over a fitted top and jeans. Closed at the top button only, so it falls open into an A-shape. And buttoned from the neck to the waist as a jumper.
We like the top-button version with straight jeans. The pink and the mint are fresh with white; the grey and the camel go with everything you own in blue jeans or black.
Occasions
The supplier names everyday casual outfits and cooler days. That is right. Wear it to work in a relaxed office, on a walk in autumn, or at home in place of a dressing gown.
It is also a good thing to keep at your desk for when the heating can't make up its mind.
Care: follow the label
The supplier's data has no care instructions, so follow the label sewn into the cardigan.
For chunky knits in general: wash gently, don't wring, and dry the cardigan flat. On a hanger a long knit can stretch under its own weight.
The wow detail: a different pattern on the back
Turn it around. The front has cables and diamonds running in vertical panels. The back is covered in a honeycomb pattern from shoulder to hem. Most cardigans save their effort for the front; this one looks finished from behind as well, which is the side other people see when you walk past.
