Fabric and feel: acrylic with 30% wool

The composition is 70% acrylic and 30% wool, exactly as the supplier lists it. The maker says the blend gives warmth while staying light and airy.

The openwork has a consequence you should know about: whatever you wear underneath shows through the holes. In the photos the model's skin is visible through the black cardigan. A plain top in the same colour makes that a feature.

Fit and silhouette: one size, relaxed

There is one size. The maker's table gives a total length of 62 cm and a chest of 106 cm. On the models the cardigan sits loosely, with dropped shoulders, and ends at the hip.

The sleeves are long enough to cover the wrist and gather a little above the ribbed cuff.

Styling: buttoned as a top, open as a layer

Many of the photos show the cardigan buttoned and worn on its own, as a top, with tailored trousers. That is a good use of it.

Open, it goes over a plain T-shirt or a slip dress. The grey looks sharp with black trousers; the black works with grey tailored trousers, as in the first photos.
