Description
A boxy houndstooth blazer in soft beige
This is a beige houndstooth blazer for women, cut boxy and short enough to wear with anything. The fabric is a small houndstooth in beige and light grey, so close up it is a check and from across the room it reads as plain oatmeal.
It has a notch lapel, one button, two large patch pockets and a lining. The supplier declares the fabric as polyester, listed here as 100% polyester. Sizes S to XL, 68 cm to 71 cm long.

The piece: half blazer, half jacket
The lapel and the single button say blazer. The dropped shoulders, the big square pockets and the wide body say casual jacket. That mix is why it works on a Tuesday at the office and on a Saturday at the bakery.
The hem curves up a little at the sides, and inside the front you can see a tan lining. There is a small woven label on the cuff in the photos, but the text can't be read and the supplier names no maker, so we sell it as "No brand". CJ lists the colour as apricot; the photos show oatmeal-beige, so that is the name we use.
Who it's for
For you if a tailored blazer feels too stiff but a cardigan feels too soft. It gives a T-shirt and jeans some structure without making you look like you are going to a meeting.
It also suits you if you want one jacket in a colour that goes with almost everything you own: beige, cream, white, black, navy and the blue of your jeans all sit well next to it.
Closer look: what we can confirm
- Houndstooth weave in beige and light grey (supplier and photos)
- Notch lapel and a single-button front (supplier)
- Two large patch pockets (supplier and photos)
- Lined, tan lining visible at the front (supplier and photos)
- Dropped shoulders and a hem that curves up at the sides (photos)
- Small woven label on the cuff (photos)
Fabric and feel: a textured check in polyester
The supplier gives the material as polyester, without percentages; under our single-fibre rule we write 100% polyester. In the photos the fabric is matte with a visible weave, and it holds the boxy shape on its own rather than draping.
It is lined, which helps it slide on over a knit. The supplier gives no fabric weight, so we can't say how warm it is. Think of it as a jacket for indoors and mild days, layered under a coat when it gets cold.
Fit and silhouette: wide, short, relaxed
The cut is generous. The bust measures 112 cm in S up to 124 cm in XL, so there is plenty of room for a jumper underneath. Length runs from 68 cm to 71 cm, which on the model ends at the hip.
The sleeve figure, 43 cm to 46 cm, looks short, but it is measured from a dropped shoulder seam that sits well down the arm. In the photos the sleeves reach the wrist. The supplier gives no shoulder width. If you like a closer fit, size down; for the oversized look in the photos, take your usual size.

Styling: cream, jeans and one bright accent
The supplier photos pair it with cream trousers and yellow mules, and it looks easy and light. Try it with straight blue jeans and white trainers, over a black turtleneck with black trousers, or over a fluid midi skirt and boots.
Sleeves pushed up, collar open, hands in the pockets: this is not a jacket to button up and stand still in.
Occasions
Office days with a casual dress code, a weekend lunch, a city trip, a gallery visit, parents' evening at school, a first date in a café.
Care: check the label
The supplier gives no care instructions, so follow the label sewn into the blazer. As a general habit for lined jackets: brush it after wearing, air it on a wide hanger, and treat small marks with a damp cloth rather than washing the whole thing.
The wow detail: the pockets
Most blazers have flap pockets you never use. These are two big square patch pockets set low on the front, big enough for your hands, your phone and your keys. They are what turns a blazer into a jacket you actually wear every day.
