This mini backpack looks like an old-fashioned school satchel that has been shrunk: a flap front, two straps with gold-coloured studs and a handle on top. It is about 20.1 cm long and 21.1 cm high.

The piece: vintage look, faux leather, by Modern Moods
The bag is sold under the label Modern Moods. The supplier's title calls it a leather backpack, but its material line says PU leather, so that is what we go by: this is faux leather.
The supplier gives very little else. From the photos: the surface is smooth with a slight gloss, the handle sits on two rings, and the shoulder straps are thin with a buckle each. A small teddy bear charm hangs from the bag in every photo. The supplier does not list it, so we cannot promise it is in the parcel.
Who it's for
For you if you carry a phone, keys, a card holder and a lipstick, and want both hands free. At this size it is a handbag you wear on your back, not a bag for a laptop or a water bottle.
It also suits anyone who likes the preppy, school-uniform look without the weight of a real satchel.

Materials and build: PU leather
PU leather is a fabric base with a polyurethane coating that is made to look like leather. It does not come from an animal. The supplier names only this one material and says nothing about the lining, the hardware or how the flap closes.
In the photos the fittings are gold in colour. We do not know what they are made of, so we describe them by colour only.
Size and dimensions
The supplier lists the bag as mini and gives two figures: a length of 7.9 inches and a height of 8.3 inches. Converted, that is about 20.1 cm by 21.1 cm. The depth is not given. In the photos the bag fits in one hand and looks a few fingers deep.
For scale: a large phone fits the length. A tablet or a full-size notebook will not go in.

Styling: preppy or plain
Dark brown goes with navy, cream, grey and green, which covers most of an autumn wardrobe. With a pleated skirt, loafers and a knit it leans into the school look. With a black coat and jeans it is simply a neat small bag.
You can carry it by the handle like a handbag when a backpack feels too casual. We like that option for dinners.
Occasions
Take it on a day in town, to a festival, to a museum where big bags must go in a locker, or on a city trip as your daytime bag. It is too small for work or study days with a laptop.
Care: no instructions from the supplier
The supplier gives no care instructions for this bag. Our own advice for PU leather: wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth, keep it away from heaters and direct sun, and do not put it in the washing machine.
