The piece: model 168613 by Rue Paris
Rue Paris sells its clothes through a fashion wholesaler in Poland. The maker needs one line for this top: a short top with tied straps, made of patterned fabric, a good choice for summer.
The gallery opens with a red floral version. The supplier no longer has it, so the black print is the one you can order. An earlier title on this page called the fabric tweed. It is a light printed cotton, and we have corrected that.

The size table has no length. Going by the photos, the top ends where high-waisted shorts begin.
Fabric and feel: cotton with a little stretch
The composition is 95% cotton and 5% spandex. Cotton is the obvious choice for a top you wear on bare skin in the heat. The spandex is most likely in the elastic thread of the smocking, though the maker does not say where it sits.
The print is small and irregular, white on black. From a distance it reads as a speckled grey; up close you see the separate marks.
Fit and silhouette: snug body, free shoulders
The maker's table gives the chest per size: 82-85 cm for S, 86-89 cm for M and 90-93 cm for L. Measure around the fullest part of your bust and pick the range you fall in.
Smocking is forgiving. If you are between sizes, the smaller one will sit firmer and the larger one softer. The straps do not carry the top; the gathered body does. They are there to set the height of the neckline and to look pretty.

The photos show the top with black tailored shorts. That is the smart version. For the beach version, wear it with denim shorts, which is how the red one is styled in the first photos.
A long white skirt and flat sandals make it an outfit for a holiday dinner. Add a shell necklace or a thin chain; the neckline is straight and open, so there is room.
