Palm leaves, small flowers and two bows. This tropical print top by Rue Paris is a sleeveless top with a straight cut, a V-shaped neckline and straps you tie yourself.
It is 100% polyester and comes in sizes S, M and L. Three prints can be ordered: a white ground, a pale pink ground and a navy ground, all with the same leaves.

The piece: three prints left of seven
Rue Paris sells this top through a fashion wholesaler in Poland. The maker's description fits on one line: a top in a straight cut with a heart neckline and straps with decorative ties.
The top comes in three prints. Our colour buttons follow the supplier's names, which is confusing here: "navy blue" is the white top with navy leaves, "pink" is the pale pink one, and "navy blue 2" is the top with the navy ground.
Who it's for
For you if you want one cheerful top for hot days that does not cling. The body hangs straight from the bust, so air can move under it.
And for you if strap length is always a problem. You set it with the bow.

Fabric and feel: printed polyester
The composition is 100% polyester. In the photos it is a light woven fabric with a matte surface, and the print is sharp with strong colours. There is no stretch fibre in it, so the fit comes from the cut.
Polyester dries fast and creases little, which makes this an easy top to take on holiday. The maker gives no fabric weight.
Fit and silhouette: straight and easy
The maker's table gives the chest per size: 82 cm for S, 86 cm for M and 91 cm for L. It does not say whether that is the garment or the body. Because the fabric has no stretch, we would treat the number as the body measurement the top is made for and size up if you are close to the limit.
The table has no length. On the model the hem reaches the hip, and the top can be worn loose or tucked in.

Styling: let one colour from the print lead
The photos pair the white version with black jeans, the pink one with white trousers and coral mules, and the navy one with pale jeans. Each time the bottom is plain. That is the rule with a print this busy.
Pick one colour from the leaves for your shoes or bag, the red of the flowers for instance. A white shirt worn open over it works when the evening cools down.
Occasions
The maker says it suits many occasions. Ours would be holidays, garden parties, a lunch outside and warm days at a relaxed office, with a blazer over it in the air conditioning.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the sewn-in label. Untie the bows before washing so the straps dry flat, and retie them once the top is dry.

The front is modest. The back dips into a deeper V between the two bows, which you only see when you turn. It is a small surprise on a top that looks simple from the front.
