A striped romper that dresses like a shirt
This striped romper has the top half of an oversized shirt and the bottom half of a pair of loose shorts, joined at an elastic waist and finished with a tie belt.
The fabric is 95% polyester and 5% elastane, and the supplier lists it as opaque. It comes in five stripe colours and five sizes, S to 2XL.

The piece: stripes by Axelle
The romper is sold under the label Axelle. The supplier lists two features, buttoned and tied, and gives the most complete size chart we see on this kind of item, down to how far the waist stretches.
In the photos the stripes run across the body and at an angle on the sleeves, which are wide and end at the elbow with a turned cuff. A shirt collar and a row of buttons run from the neck to the waist. Two of the five colours are black: one with white stripes, one with cream.
Who it's for
For you if you want a summer outfit you can put on in one go. A romper needs no matching, and the shirt top makes this one look more put together than a sundress.
The legs are short. The inseam is 7.6 cm in every size, so the shorts end high on the thigh. Tall women should check the top length before ordering.

Fabric and feel: opaque polyester with elastane
The composition is 95% polyester and 5% elastane. The supplier lists the fabric as opaque, which matters with white stripes. It gives no stretch rating and no fabric weight.
In the photos the cloth looks smooth and drapes softly at the sleeves and the shorts.
Fit and silhouette: loose top, cinched waist
Size M has a bust of 94 cm, a relaxed waist of 68.1 cm that stretches to 103.9 cm, a hip of 118.1 cm and a top length of 84.1 cm. Across the range the bust runs from 89.9 cm to 112 cm and the hip from 114 cm to 135.9 cm.
The elastic waist does the fitting; the top and the shorts are both cut loose. The supplier gives a sleeve length of 42.9 to 47 cm; in the photos the sleeve ends at the elbow.

Styling: sandals and a small bag
The photos add a small woven bag and a gold-coloured coin necklace. Flat sandals or white sneakers finish it. Button it higher for town, lower for the beach.
Red and royal blue have a nautical feel. Black on cream is the softest of the five and the easiest to wear into the evening.
Occasions
Wear it on holiday, to a beach bar, to a summer lunch or on a city trip in warm weather. It packs small and needs no ironing plan.
Care: cold wash, low dryer
The supplier's care instructions: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. We would wash the red and blue stripes with similar colours the first few times. That tip is ours.

On the body the stripes are level. On the batwing sleeves the same fabric is cut on a slant, so the lines tilt as they leave the shoulder. It gives a plain stripe some movement before you have taken a step.
