Materials: black faux leather

The maker lists the upper as faux leather and the insole as faux leather too. In the photos it is smooth and slightly shiny, and soft enough to fold around the ankle when you bend your foot.

The maker gives no composition percentages and does not say what the sole is made of. Inside the shaft we only know the insole material.

Size and fit: insole length and a snug shaft

The maker's size table gives the insole length per size: 24.5 cm in 37, 25 cm in 38, 25.5 cm in 39, 26 cm in 40 and 26.5 cm in 41. Take the insole out of a pair that fits you and measure it from heel to toe.

The shaft is 41 cm high and the maker calls it snug. The maker gives no calf width, so if you often find knee boots tight on the calf, ask us before you order. The short zip at the bottom is there to make getting in easier and to adjust the fit over the foot.

Styling: short over tall

The photos keep it simple: bare legs, gold-tone rings and bracelets, and in one shot a white top with dark shorts. Knee-high boots look their tallest with a hem that stops above the knee, so think mini skirts, short dresses and an oversized shirt worn as a dress.

For a longer line in winter, wear them under a midi skirt that meets the top of the shaft, or with black tights so the boot and leg read as one. A cropped jacket or a long coat both work on top; the platform keeps the proportions balanced either way.

Occasions
