The piece: five colours, five letter colours
Rue Paris sells through a Polish fashion wholesaler. The hoodie exists as five models, 221546 to 221550, and each one combines a body colour with its own lettering.
The supplier's colour names are beige, grey, red, brown and black. The photos are more precise. Beige is an off-white with dark brown letters. Grey is a light melange with burgundy letters. Red is a deep burgundy with black letters. Brown is a dark chocolate with pink letters, and black has dark letters that only show up close.
Who it's for
For you if a hoodie is what you live in from October to April and you want one with a bit more to look at than a plain grey one. The cut is very wide, 136 cm at the chest, so it is roomy on most sizes and huge on a small frame.
There is one size. If you like your sweatshirts close to the body, this is not that.

Fabric and feel: cotton with a lined inside
The composition is 90% cotton and 10% spandex. The supplier calls it a soft blend of cotton with elastane that gives comfort and freedom of movement.
The inside is described as lightly lined, and for the black model as lightly insulated. In a sweatshirt that normally means a brushed, fleecy inner face, though the supplier does not use that word. In the photos the fabric looks thick and holds its shape around the hood and the hem.
Fit and silhouette: wide on top, held in at the hem
The table gives a length of 69 cm, a chest of 136 cm and 116 cm at the hips. The ribbed hem pulls the width in, so the body blouses a little above it. On the model the hem sits on the hip.
The shoulder seam drops down the upper arm and the sleeves are wide until the cuff. Sleeves on this kind of cut usually run long; push them up if they cover your hands.

Styling: wide on wide, or wide on slim
The supplier suggests jeans, leggings or sweatpants. The photos go for wide jeans and wide cream trousers with sneakers or flat boots, which gives a relaxed, slouchy outline.
Leggings do the opposite and let the hoodie be the only volume. A cap, as in some of the photos, is optional. Under a long coat, pull the hood out over the collar.
Occasions
The supplier describes it as everyday wear for cooler days. Wear it for travel days, lectures, the school run, the weekend. It is casual through and through, and that is the point of it.
Care: follow the label
The supplier's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the hoodie. With embroidery in general, washing inside out keeps the letters from rubbing against the drum.
The wow detail: letters you can feel
PARIS is embroidered, not printed. In the close-up photos the letters stand up from the fabric with a looped, towel-like surface, and BONJOUR sits below in fine thread. The colour pairings are the fun part: pink on chocolate brown, burgundy on grey, black on black.
