The piece: a knit jacket with pockets
The label is Drizzle Drizzle Knitwear. The supplier lists the cardigan as buttoned and pocketed, slightly stretchy, in 52% viscose, 22% polyamide and 26% polyester. It is imported; no country is named.
The photos fill in the look. The stripes are dark navy and run across the body and sleeves, with a plain band across the top of the chest. The buttons are gold-tone and domed, and each pocket flap has one too. The sleeves are wide, with cuffs turned back.
Who it's for
For you if you like the French striped look and want it in a piece that is smarter than a sweatshirt. It is a good choice for days when a blazer feels stiff and a hoodie feels sloppy.

Fabric and feel: a smooth viscose blend
Just over half of the yarn is viscose (52%), blended with 26% polyester and 22% polyamide. In the photos the knit looks smooth and dense, closer to a fine-gauge jumper than to a chunky cardigan. The supplier calls it slightly stretchy and gives no weight.
There is no animal fibre in the blend according to the supplier's list, which some people prefer for skin that itches easily.
Fit and silhouette: boxy, to the waistband
The cut is boxy. Size M has a bust of 102.1 cm, a length of 56.9 cm and a sleeve of 51.1 cm. With dropped shoulders the sleeve starts lower on the arm, so the sleeve figure looks short and is not. In the photos the hem sits on the waistband of high-waisted jeans.

Styling: buttoned as a top, open as a layer
The photos show both ways. Buttoned up with high-waisted jeans it is a top in its own right. Half open over a camisole it is a light layer. The gold-tone buttons pick up gold jewellery, so a chain and a few bangles are all it takes.
For the office, try it with navy trousers or a cream skirt.
Occasions
Wear it to work, to lunch, on a city trip or at the weekend with jeans. It is neat enough for a meeting and relaxed enough for the school run.
Care: cold wash, dry flat if you can
The supplier allows a cold machine wash and a low tumble dry. Knits keep their shape better when they dry flat, so we would lay it on a towel when there is time. Button it before washing.
The wow detail: the gold-tone buttons
A single row of small domed buttons does a lot here. They turn a striped knit into something that reads as a jacket, and the two on the pocket flaps finish it off. The supplier does not say what they are made of; in the photos they have a gold-coloured shine.
