Plush mule slippers with a bow on top
You slide into these from the back. They are closed at the toe and open at the heel, covered in long, soft pile, with a thin cord tied in a bow on top.
The sole is 2.5 cm high and the insole is as fluffy as the outside. They come in three double sizes and four colours.

The piece: models 221506 to 221509
Step in Style describes them as slippers for relaxing at home, with a bow at the front and a soft insole. Each colour has its own model number: green, brown, beige and white.
In the photos the green is an olive, the brown is a light caramel and the white is a cream. The beige is a greyish taupe, and our button for it says Taupe.
One thing we can't tell you. The supplier calls these fur slippers and lists the lining and footbed as fur, without saying whether that is real or imitation fur. An earlier title on this page said faux fur. We have no data to back that up, so we took the word out.
Who they're for
For you if your feet are cold from October on and you want slippers you can slide into without bending down. They also make an easy gift, since double sizes forgive a wrong guess.

Materials and build: what the maker states, and what is missing
The maker's data has three lines on material. Fabric: plastic. Lining: fur. Footbed: fur. There are no fibre percentages and no word on whether the fur is real or imitation.
We will not guess. The pile in the photos is long, even and dyed in clear colours, but a photo can't settle the question. If the origin of the pile matters to you, write to us and we will ask the supplier.
Size and dimensions: three double sizes
The insole is 23.5 cm in size 36/37, 24 cm in 38/39 and 25.5 cm in 40/41. Note how close the first two are: only half a centimetre apart.
If you wear a 39 with a long foot, 24 cm may be short, and the next size up is a big step. Measure your foot before you choose. An open heel does forgive a little overhang.

Styling: socks or bare feet
These are house shoes, so styling is a big word. The cream pair looks good with grey loungewear, the olive and the brown with jeans on a Sunday.
Thick socks make them tighter. If you plan to wear them over socks, keep that in mind when you pick the size.
Occasions
The maker says it plainly: everyday relaxation at home. Mornings with coffee, evenings on the sofa, a weekend away in a cold holiday house. The sole is flat and made for indoor floors.
Care: brush and air
The maker gives no care instructions. Until we know more about the pile, the careful route is to shake them out, brush the pile with a soft brush and let them air. Don't put them in the washing machine on a guess.
The wow detail: the bow
A thin cord in a contrasting colour, tied once. On the olive pair it is tan, on the cream pair it is brown. It is a small, slightly old-fashioned touch on a slipper that is otherwise all fluff.
