This black mini tank dress by Sara Roman has a scoop neck, wide straps and a row of decorative buttons on the bodice. From the waist seam down, the skirt flares out.

The piece: tank top above, skater skirt below
The supplier lists a scoop neck, wide straps and a decorative button. In the photos the bodice is ribbed and close to the body, with round brown buttons down the middle. They are for show, so there is nothing to undo.
At the waist the fabric is gathered into a seam and the skirt opens out from there, ending above the knee. The back has a scoop too, a little lower than the front. One photo shows a woven belt. The supplier does not list a belt, and the other photos show the dress without one, so do not expect it in the parcel.
Who it's for
For you if you want one black dress that works from May to September and does not ask for special underwear. The wide straps cover a normal bra and the supplier calls the fabric opaque.
The cut defines the waist and skims over the hips, which many of us find easy to wear.

The fabric is 95% polyester with 5% spandex, and the supplier describes it as slightly stretchy. In the photos it has a fine rib and a matte surface.
The dress is not lined. The supplier does list the fabric as opaque, which is the thing you want to know about an unlined black dress in bright sun.
Fit: close at the bust, loose from the waist
The supplier's chart gives the bust as 78 cm in S, 82 cm in M, 87.9 cm in L and 94 cm in XL. The length is 85.1 cm, 87.1 cm, 88.9 cm and 90.9 cm.
The bodice is the part that has to fit, and it stretches a little. The skirt is free. If your bust measurement is well above the figure for your usual size, take the next size up. In the photos the hem sits a hand's width above the knee.

Styling: add your own belt, or do not
The photo with the woven belt shows how much a belt changes this dress. It marks the waist seam and adds a second texture. Without one the dress is simpler and a bit sportier.
Straw bag and sandals for the day, as in the photos. For the evening, swap in heeled sandals and gold jewellery. A jean jacket takes it into September.

Wear it to a terrace lunch, on a city trip, at a garden party or on holiday. It is a casual dress that dresses up with the right shoes.

The supplier's instructions: machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Wash black with dark colours and turn the dress inside out to keep the surface matte.
