These flat slip-on shoes borrow their shape from the boat shoe: a round, stitched toe, a low cut and a thin lace across the front. The upper is a ribbed fabric, and the sole is white on every colour.

The shoes are sold under the label Adorable Flats. Our supplier lists polyester and rubber as materials, a flat heel and a true-to-size fit, and ships them without a box.
In the photos the lace runs through two eyelets and ends in a bow or a knot at the side. It looks decorative: the shoe is a slip-on and the opening is wide enough to get your foot in. Whether the lace can be tightened the supplier does not say.
Who they're for
For you if you want a light shoe you can put on without bending down: on a city day, on holiday, in the car, at work if you stand a lot. A fabric upper gives more than a stiff one, which helps if new shoes tend to rub.

Materials and build
Polyester and rubber: that is the supplier's list. It fits what the photos show, a textile upper on a moulded sole, though the supplier does not assign the materials to parts. The ribbed weave gives the upper a corduroy-like look.
Size: true to size, 36 to 43
Order your usual size, says the supplier. Its chart links each size to a foot length, from 22.9 cm for size 36 to 26.4 cm for size 43, converted from inches and rounded to one decimal.
Measure your foot standing, heel to longest toe, and pick the size at or just above it. A slip-on should hold the heel, so avoid sizing up more than you need.

Styling: cropped hems and bare ankles
The photos show them with cropped, frayed jeans and bare ankles, and that is their home ground. Chinos, culottes and summer dresses work too.
Navy, black and white are the quiet ones. Red and pink make the shoe the point of the outfit. Caramel sits between: warm, and easy next to blue jeans.

Care
The supplier gives no care instructions. For fabric shoes, brush off dry dirt and dab marks with a cloth and lukewarm soapy water, then let them air dry. We would not machine wash them without the maker's say-so.

The shape is an old one. The surprise is the material: fine vertical ribs where you expect a smooth upper, in colours like red, pink and caramel. It makes a familiar shoe look softer and a little more playful.
