These ankle boots have no laces and no fuss. A V-shaped cut at the side opens the shaft, so your foot slides in, and a small loop at the heel gives you something to pull on.

The toe is pointed, the heel is a low block, and the upper is PU leather. Three colours, black, beige and pink, in EU sizes 35 to 43.

In the photos the heel has a stacked wood look and the sole has a light edge, which sets off the upper. Most images show a slightly distressed, matte finish; one close-up of the black pair looks smoother. Expect some variation between what you see and what arrives.

For you if you live in jeans and want one pair of boots that works from September to April. The low heel adds a little height without changing how you walk. Sizes run from 35 to 43.

Materials and build: PU leather on rubber

The upper is PU leather, a faux leather with no animal hide in it, and the sole is rubber. The supplier says nothing about the lining, so we cannot tell you whether the inside is fabric or bare. No heel height in centimetres is given.

Size and fit: go by foot length

The chart gives foot length per size: 22.4 cm for 35, 23.4 cm for 37, 24.4 cm for 39, 25.4 cm for 41 and 26.4 cm for 43. Measure your foot standing and choose the matching size.

A pointed toe takes some room at the front. If you plan to wear thick socks, or your foot is on the border between two sizes, the larger size is the safer choice. The supplier gives no width information.

Styling: cropped jeans, bare ankle

The photos show them with ripped, cropped jeans, and the V-cut does look right with a bit of ankle showing. In winter, tights and a midi skirt work as well. Black is the all-rounder; beige and pink are lovely with white or light blue jeans.

Work, weekends, a city trip, dinner. They are everyday boots with a slightly dressed-up toe.

Care: no instructions from the supplier

The supplier gives no care instructions. Faux leather is usually wiped with a soft damp cloth and left to dry away from a heater; treat that as general advice.

The wow detail: the V-cut

That notch at the side does two jobs. It replaces a zip, and it shows a sliver of ankle, which makes the boot look lighter than a closed shaft would. On the pink and beige pairs it is the first thing you notice.
