Fabric and feel

Here the supplier is long on promises and short on data. It describes a non-iron treatment and a fabric that stretches in four directions, but gives no fibre percentages and no fabric weight. In the photos the cloth is smooth with a slight sheen and hangs cleanly. For the exact composition, check the sewn-in label when the trousers arrive, and tell us if it surprises you.

Size and fit

The sizes are numbers from 29 to 42. The supplier gives no chart in centimetres and no inseam length, so we cannot tell you how a 34 here compares with a 34 in your wardrobe. That is a real gap for trousers.

Our advice: measure the waist of a pair that fits you well, send us that number, and we will ask the supplier which size matches before you order. You also have 14 days to return them.

Styling

The supplier styles every colour with a light blue shirt tucked in, and that works with all five. Navy and black are the office pair. Grey goes with a white polo in summer. Khaki is the weekend one, with a navy jumper and white trainers.

Occasions

The supplier names travel, weekends, errands and relaxed social occasions. We would add the Monday meeting and the family birthday where jeans feel a little underdressed.

Care

The supplier gives no care instructions, so follow the sewn-in label. As general practice for non-iron trousers, wash cool, shake them out and hang them by the waistband to dry. That is usually enough to keep the legs smooth without ironing.

The wow detail: the back pocket

It is a small thing, and the supplier clearly knows it, given how many photos show it. A slim welt pocket, one button, a fine line of stitching above it. It makes a plain pair of trousers look tailored from behind.
