Description
A green bee brooch with a lot to look at
This brooch is a bee. Its body is one large oval green stone, cut with facets, and its head is a round black stone. The four wings are filled with small clear stones in narrow baguette shapes, and each wing is outlined in black with a beaded gold-tone edge.
You get one brooch, in green. The supplier gives no material and no size, so this page describes what the photos show and says plainly where we don't know.

The piece: a bee drawn in stones
We sell it without a brand, because the supplier data names no maker. Everything we say about the design comes from the product photos, which we went through one by one.
The design is detailed, yet you can read it from across a room. Two thin antennae with small balls at the tips rise from the head. Thin curved gold-tone legs come out from under the green body. In the shots on a white background you can also see the pin itself, a straight bar that runs behind the top of the wings.
Who it's for
For you if a plain coat or blazer needs one thing to look at. A brooch is the quickest way to change a jacket you wear every week, and a bee is a motif people recognise and tend to ask about.
It is also a gift that needs no size. Think of a sister who wears a lot of black, or a colleague who is leaving.
Closer look: what you can see in the photos
- One bee brooch in green (shop option)
- Oval faceted green stone as the body (photos)
- Round faceted black stone as the head (photos)
- Four wings set with small clear baguette-shaped stones (photos)
- Black outline and beaded gold-tone edge on each wing (photos)
- Straight pin across the back (photos)
The first photo combines two images. The model wears the brooch on the lapel of her black jacket, where it looks small, and the large bee beside her is an enlarged close-up.
Materials and finish: what we know and what we don't
The supplier data lists no material for the frame or for the stones, so we don't name one. The gold tone is a colour. It is not a claim of gold.
What the photos do show: a polished gold-tone frame, a green stone cut with facets that catch the light in every shot, and clear wing stones cut in narrow rectangles. If the material matters to you, for example because your skin reacts to some metals, ask us before you order and we will ask the supplier. We would rather check than guess.
Size: no measurement from the supplier
The supplier gives no dimensions and no weight. The only clue to scale is the model photo, where the brooch sits on the lapel of a black jacket and looks small against it. Read that as a hint, not a measurement.
Do you need the exact size, for example to fit it on a narrow collar? Ask us and we will check with the supplier before you order.
Styling: green and gold on dark colours
The supplier photographed it on black, and dark colours suit it. The green stone and the gold-tone frame both stand out more on navy or black than on a busy print. Pin it on the lapel of a blazer, or low on the shoulder of a plain knitted jumper.
We would wear it on its own. The bee already mixes green, black and clear stones, so a second brooch next to it crowds it.
Occasions
It works on an office day in a dark blazer, and on an evening out when your coat stays on for the first hour. In December it adds a bit of sparkle to a black outfit without looking like a Christmas decoration. As a gift it suits Sinterklaas, a birthday or a simple thank-you.
Care: keep it dry and store it apart
The supplier gives no care instructions. As general practice for jewellery with set stones, keep it away from water and perfume, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Store it on its own, so the pin can't scratch other pieces and the wing stones don't catch on anything.
The wow detail: the wings up close
Look at the wings in the close-ups. Each one is made of rows of tiny clear stones set at angles, a bit like panes in a leaded window, with the black line holding them together. From a distance the brooch reads as green and gold. Up close, the wings are what people notice.
