This is a mid-length coat cut like a long blazer: notch lapel, one button at the waist and a flap pocket on each hip. The fabric is woven to look like tweed, with small metallic flecks that catch the light when you move.

The supplier title calls it a trench coat, but it has no belt and a single row with one button, so we call it what it is: a coat with the lines of a blazer. The lapel is sharp, the front closes with one button at the waist and falls straight from there.

The supplier declares the main fabric as 100% polyester. The tweed effect comes from the weave: a dark ground with lighter threads and metallic flecks running through it. Up close it has the texture of a classic tweed jacket; from a distance it reads as a dark coat with a soft glimmer.

Fit and silhouette: close at the waist, long and straight

Styling: black on black, or brown with jeans
The supplier photos show both colours over a black top and slim black trousers, with the sleeves pushed up. That is the easy way to wear it: a dark base lets the flecks do the work.
Dark brown also works with blue jeans, a cream roll-neck and loafers. Black is sharper with a white shirt and a red lip for an evening out.
Occasions
Wear it to the office, or to a dinner in December where a little sparkle feels right. It is also a good travel coat for a city weekend, because it looks finished over simple clothes.

The supplier data has no care instructions, so follow the label sewn into the coat. As general practice for woven coats with metallic threads: button it before cleaning, brush off dust after wearing, and hang it on a wide hanger so the shoulders keep their shape.
