Description
Knit mesh runner sneakers with a sole you notice
These knit mesh runner sneakers have a soft knitted upper that hugs the ankle like a sock, and a thick ribbed sole. On several colours that sole is translucent.
The supplier lists mesh and rubber as materials, says they fit true to size, and sells them in EU 35 to 40 in seven colours.

The piece: a knit sneaker by Crump Street
The label is Crump Street. The supplier calls them athletic shoes with a low heel, made of rubber and mesh, imported, and shipped without a shoe box.
The photos are informal snapshots of the shoes held in a hand, and they show the build clearly. The upper is one knitted piece with a stripe panel along the side, flat laces and a pull tab at the heel. The sole has vertical ribs all the way round. It is translucent on the beige, light grey and pink pairs, white on the white pair and black on the black and dark grey pairs.
Who they're for
For you if you want a light, soft sneaker for walking and everyday wear, and you like the look of a chunky sole. A knitted upper has no stiff panels, so it suits feet that dislike hard seams.
The size range stops at EU 40, so check that first.

Materials and build: mesh on rubber
The supplier names two materials: mesh for the upper and rubber for the sole. Mesh is an open knit, so air passes through it and water does too. These are shoes for dry days.
The supplier does not describe the insole or any cushioning, so we make no claim about either.
Size and foot length
The supplier says they are true to size and advises your usual size. Its chart links each EU size to a foot length, from 22.4 cm for 35 to 24.9 cm for 40.
Measure your foot standing, heel to longest toe, and match it to the chart. A knitted upper gives a little around the foot, which helps if you are between widths.

Styling: leggings, joggers, cropped trousers
The sock collar looks right with an ankle on show: leggings, joggers with a cuff, cropped trousers. Under wide trousers you lose the shape.
Black and dark grey are the practical choices. Pink and the beige pair with blue trim are the playful ones.
Occasions
Walks, errands, travel days, a day on your feet at work, the gym for light training. The supplier gives no sport rating, so for serious running we would choose a shoe made for it.
Care
The supplier gives no care instructions. Knitted uppers are usually cleaned by hand with lukewarm water and a little mild soap, then dried in the air away from a heater. A translucent sole shows dirt, and a damp cloth takes care of that.
The wow detail: the see-through sole
On the beige, light grey and pink pairs the ribbed sole lets light through, tinted to match the upper. It makes a thick sole look lighter than it is.
Fashion that gives back
5% of each sale goes to a cause you choose. The causes are matched to 11 of the 17 SDGs, the global goals set by the United Nations, and you decide where your share goes.
