This long-sleeve collared shirt by Venaton looks like two pieces worn together. A loose top layer stops at the waist, and a longer layer shows underneath. It is one shirt, with a collar, a button front and notches at the sides.

The maker's description is short: an elegant shirt with a collar and long sleeves, with notches at the sides. The layered construction is something the photos show and the text leaves out.
Venaton lists the colours as green, beige and black. The green is an olive khaki. The beige is very light, an off-white in the photos, and our button calls it White. Today the supplier has the green in XL only, the black in S and L, and the beige in all four sizes.
Who it's for
For you if a plain shirt feels too strict and a blouse with ruffles too much. The layered front adds interest without adding decoration.
It also helps if you do not like tucking shirts in. The top layer ends at the waist and marks it for you, while the under-layer covers the waistband.

The shirt is cut straight and ends at the hip. Size S is 61 cm long with a chest of 96 cm. Each size up adds half a centimetre in length and 4 cm in the chest, up to 62.5 cm and 108 cm in XL.

Styling: slim trousers, flat shoes
The photos show the olive and the black shirt over white slim trousers with loafers, and the off-white one with black glossy trousers and sandals. Slim trousers are the common thread. The shirt has volume at the waist, so the legs should stay narrow.
Close the top button for a sharper look, or leave two open and add a short chain.

The top layer is not stitched down at the bottom. It hangs free, a straight edge across the waist that moves when you do. At the back it does the same. A small metal tag sits on that edge, like a full stop.
