A lace midi skirt with an elastic waist
This is a lace midi skirt by Italy Moda. The whole skirt is openwork lace, the waistband is elastic and there is no zip or button. You step in and pull it up.
Please read this before you order: you buy the skirt only. The matching lace top in the photos is a separate item and is not included. The skirt is 97 cm long, comes in one size and is lined in the upper part.

The piece: a skirt, not a set
Italy Moda is the maker's brand at a Polish fashion wholesaler. The wholesaler lists this item as a lace skirt, and its description covers a skirt and nothing else: midi length, elastic waistband, decorative ruching on the front, openwork lace all over and a lining in the upper part.
The old name of this page sold it as a two-piece set with a crop top. That was wrong, and we have corrected it. The photos were shot with a lace top in the same colour, which is why it looks like a set.
There are four colour options. Black, brown and red are clear. The fourth, "brown 2" in our menu, is a darker brown that the maker photographed with a roll-neck jumper.
Who it's for
For you if you want a skirt that looks dressed and feels easy. An elastic waist forgives a long dinner, and lace does the dressing up without any effort from you.
It is one size. The maker gives a very wide range for the waist, 62-130 cm, which we read as the band from relaxed to fully stretched. In the photos the skirt sits close on the model, so expect a narrow cut.

The maker's text does not mention the slit; it is clearly visible in the side-view photos.
Fabric and feel: lace with stretch
The composition is 50% polyester, 45% viscose and 5% spandex. The supplier calls the fabric stretchy and lightweight. That matches the cut, because a pull-on skirt this narrow needs stretch to get over the hips.
The lining covers the upper part only. From the thigh down you see skin through the lace, so the lower half of the skirt is sheer by design.
Fit and silhouette: narrow and 97 cm long
The table has one row: 97 cm long, waist width 62-130 cm. Measure 97 cm down from your waist to see where the scalloped hem will land. On the model it is on the calf.
The cut is straight and close, and the side slit gives you room to walk. We have no hip measurement from the maker. If your hips are much wider than your waist, the lace will stretch there and the pattern will open up a little.

Styling: knit on top, heels below
The photos give you three ideas. A lace top in the same colour makes it look like a dress. A blazer in the same brown turns it into office wear. A fine roll-neck jumper tucked over the waistband makes it a winter outfit.
We like the jumper version most, because a chunky knit next to lace is a good contrast of thick and thin. Pointed pumps or heeled ankle boots suit the calf length. Keep the top half plain; the skirt has enough pattern.
Occasions
The supplier names everyday wear, work and special occasions. With a jumper it is a skirt for a December workday. With a glossy blouse or a lace top it goes to a Christmas dinner, a theatre evening or a wedding in the colder months.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the skirt. Lace catches on zips and hooks, so wash it apart from anything with hardware and take off rings when you pull it on.
The wow detail: the scalloped hem
The hem is not cut straight. It follows the edge of the lace pattern, so the skirt ends in a row of small arcs with skin showing between them. Together with the sheer lower half, that edge is what you notice when you walk.
