The piece: two production runs, one idea
There is something you should know about this jumper, and the supplier data shows it. Italy Moda made it in two runs. The grey and the pink come from the first. The maker describes those with a long sleeve and gives a chest of 140 cm. The green and the black come from a later run. For those the maker writes three-quarter sleeves with a subtle ruffle, a length of 63 cm and a chest of 120 cm.
So the colours differ a little in width and in sleeve length. The yarn, the round neck and the ruffle are the same.
We also corrected the page. It used to promise a cable knit and a mock neck. The maker calls the pattern smooth and the neckline round, and the photos agree.
Who it's for
For you if you like a wide jumper and want one small detail on it. A chest of 120 or 140 cm is roomy on most bodies, so this is a slouchy fit by design.
If you prefer your sleeves to stop above the wrist, so they stay out of the washing-up, look at the green and the black.
Closer look: what the maker says and what the photos show
- Smooth pattern and a classic round neckline (maker's data)
- Ruffles at the sleeves (maker's data)
- Standard length; 63 cm for green and black (maker's data, size table)
- Open, chunky knit with a slightly fuzzy yarn (photos)
- Dropped shoulders and wide sleeves gathered into a ribbed band (photos)
- Ribbed hem at the hip (photos)
Yarn and feel: mostly acrylic, with 9% wool
The composition is 65% acrylic, 17% polyamide, 9% wool and 9% viscose. The supplier writes "lana", the Italian and Spanish word for wool. The maker calls the blend soft and pleasant to the touch and says the long sleeve gives comfort and warmth on colder days.
The knit is open. In the lighter colours you can see a little of what is underneath, so plan a top in a matching shade.
Fit and silhouette: wide, to the hip
There is one size, and the tables differ per run. Grey and pink: chest 140 cm, no length given. Green and black: chest 120 cm, length 63 cm, and a hip range of 90-156 cm, which tells you the ribbed hem stretches a long way.
On the models the jumper ends at the hip and the shoulders drop well below your own shoulder line. If you are between a neat fit and a loose one, the green and black are the less wide pair.

Source: the maker's size tables. The two pairs of colours come from different production runs with different tables. A dash means the supplier lists no number.
Styling: one soft thing, one sharp thing
The photos pair the grey jumper with slim black trousers, the pink one with light jeans and the black one with a brown skirt. The maker says the same in words: jeans, or more formal trousers and skirts.
Our rule for a wide knit is to keep the bottom half narrow or structured. Push the sleeves up a little so the ruffle sits on the forearm. It shows better there.
Occasions
The maker suggests everyday wear and work. That fits. It is a jumper for the office, for a coffee in town and for the sofa on Sunday. With a skirt and boots the black one also works for a dinner.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the jumper. A loose knit keeps its shape when you dry it flat, and it snags less when you take your rings off first.
The wow detail: the ruffle cuff
The cuff is built in three steps. First the wide sleeve, then a few centimetres of tight rib that pull it in, then a ruffle that flares out again over the hand. It gives a heavy knit a light ending. You notice it when you hold a cup or type.
