No zip, no laces. These boots by Step in Style have a loose shaft that you slide your foot into, a sharp pointed toe and a slim heel of 6.5 cm. The shaft is 22 cm high, which puts the top edge at the lower calf.

The piece: model 221519 by Step in Style
The supplier calls them slip-on boots and describes three things: a slender heel that makes the leg look longer, a loose upper that adds some nonchalance, and pointed toes. Its attribute list gives artificial leather for the material, fabric for the footbed, 22 cm for the upper and 6.5 cm for the heel.
In the photos the shaft stands a little away from the leg and creases softly at the ankle. The top edge is cut straight. The surface is smooth with a slight sheen.
Who they are for
For you if you wear skirts and dresses in autumn and want a boot that shows some leg between hem and shaft. The loose top makes the calf look slim.

Materials and build: faux leather, fabric footbed
The upper is artificial leather in the maker's words, so not animal hide. The footbed is fabric. That is all the maker states about materials.
The photos show a supple upper that folds instead of standing stiff, which is what gives the slouchy look at the ankle.
Size and dimensions: insole, shaft, heel
The insole runs from 23.5 cm in size 36 to 27 cm in size 41. The steps are uneven: 37 is 24.5 cm, 38 is 25 cm, 39 is 25.5 cm and 40 is 26.5 cm. With a pointed toe, part of that length is the point, so choose with some room.
Because there is no zip, your foot has to pass through the ankle of the shaft. The loose cut helps. If you have a high instep, keep that in mind.

Styling: skirts, or trousers over the top
The photos show them with bare legs and short skirts, once with an oversized jacket. That is the look they were made for.
They also work under straight or wide trousers, where only the pointed toe and the heel show. Dark brown is softer than black next to cream, camel and grey.
When to wear them
The maker suggests both casual and more formal looks. A 6.5 cm heel is manageable for an office day or a dinner. For long walks on cobbles, a slim heel is less fun.
Care: no instructions from the maker
The maker's data has no care instructions. Check the box for a leaflet when the boots arrive. Faux leather is usually cleaned with a damp cloth.
Store them upright with paper in the shaft, so the soft upper keeps its shape.
