These knee-high pointed-toe boots by Step in Style have no zip and no laces. You slide your foot in, and the wide, straight shaft stands around the calf. The maker describes a slim heel, pointed toes and a lining for autumn and winter days.
The heel is 7 cm and the shaft is 38 cm high. Two versions are left: a taupe faux suede and a black faux leather. Stock is down to sizes 40 and 41.

The piece: two pairs left of four
The gallery shows four colours: cream, taupe, brown and black. The supplier no longer has the cream and the brown pair. What you can order is model 221146, which the maker calls beige and which is a taupe suede look in the photos, and model 221148 in smooth black.
We also fixed two things in the old title. It said kitten heel; the maker calls it a slim stiletto of 7 cm. And the maker files the boot under over-the-knee styles, while a 38 cm shaft ends below the knee on the model. Knee-high is the fair word.
Who it's for
For you if zips never close over your calves, or if tight boots bother you. This shaft is a straight tube that stands away from the leg. The data gives no shaft width, but in the photos there is clear space between boot and calf.
You need to wear size 40 or 41 right now. That is all the supplier has.

Materials and build: faux suede or faux leather
Neither pair is animal leather. The maker lists the taupe boot as imitation suede and the black boot as artificial leather. In the photos the taupe has a soft, brushed surface and the black is smooth with a low shine.
The maker mentions a lining for warmth and gives no details about it. The sole material is not stated. In the photos the sole is thin, so these are town boots.
Size and fit: insole length and a wide shaft
The insole is 26 cm in size 40 and 26.5 cm in size 41. For reference, the maker's table starts at 23.5 cm for 36 and gives 24 cm for 37, 24.5 cm for 38 and 25.5 cm for 39. Measure your foot and leave some room for the pointed toe.
Because the boot has no zip, your foot has to pass through the ankle of the shaft. The soft creases in the photos show where the material gives.

Styling: let the hem meet the boot
A wide shaft works well when a skirt or dress ends just above it or falls just over it. A knitted midi dress over the taupe pair is an easy autumn outfit. The black pair goes under a pleated skirt or a long coat.
Slim jeans can be tucked in. Wide trousers cannot, so leave those for other shoes.
Occasions
The maker suggests them for colder days and for fashionable outfits. We would wear them to the office, to dinner and to a party in December. With a 7 cm heel and a thin sole they are less suited to a long walk.
Care: brush the suede look, wipe the black
The maker gives no care instructions. As a rule, a faux suede surface is cleaned with a soft dry brush and a smooth faux leather with a damp cloth. Stuff the shafts with paper when you store the boots, so they do not fold.
