This is a flat mop and bucket set built to make mopping a one-handed job. You slide the mop head through the slot on the bucket to rinse the pad and squeeze out the water, so you never have to touch a wet mop with your hands.

The set comes with a telescopic metal handle, a 360-degree swivel mop plate and two microfibre pads that attach with hook-and-loop. The bucket is made of plastic and has a hose connection shown in the photos.

Materials and build

The handle is metal and telescopic, so it slides shorter for storage and longer for mopping. The supplier's title says aluminium alloy and their description says stainless steel; the exact alloy is not confirmed, so we only say metal.

The pads are made of microfibre, which the supplier calls 'superfine fibre'. They attach to the mop plate with hook-and-loop, so you can peel them off to wash or replace them. Two pads are included.

The bucket is plastic, with a grey lid and a built-in slot that rinses the pad and squeezes out excess water in one motion.

Size and dimensions

The mop plate is about 32 cm long and 12 cm wide, which covers a good strip of floor with each pass. The handle extends to 135 cm, which is long enough for most people to mop without bending their back.

The bucket is tall and narrow, so it takes up less floor space than a round bucket. The supplier does not give the bucket's exact dimensions, so we don't list them here.

How to use it

Fill the bucket with water and your usual floor cleaner. Dip the mop in, then pull the pad through the slot on top to rinse it and squeeze out the right amount of water. The 360-degree swivel plate lets the mop turn under furniture and around chair legs without you having to twist the handle.

When one pad gets dirty, peel it off and put on the second one. Both pads are removable, so you can wash them between uses.

Where to use it

Use it for regular floor cleaning in the kitchen, bathroom, hallway and living room. The flat head slides under low furniture like sofas, beds and kitchen cabinets, and the swivel plate makes it easy to manoeuvre around toilet bases and table legs.

Care and maintenance

The supplier gives no care instructions, so follow any label sewn into the pads. As general practice for microfibre mop pads: rinse them out after each use, wash them regularly and let them dry completely before storing them away to prevent odours.

Empty and rinse the bucket after each use so no dirty water or cleaner residue sits in it. Wipe the handle and the mop plate with a damp cloth when needed.
