A dog backpack carrier, with the head out and looking around
This dog backpack carrier is worn on your back like any rucksack. Your dog sits upright inside, with its head and front paws out of the top, so it can see where you are going. The sides are black mesh, there is a zip pocket on the front, and the shoulder straps are adjustable.
It comes in four sizes, S to XL, and six colours. The supplier gives the fabric as 100% polyester and lists a maximum dog weight from 5 kg for S up to 30 kg for XL.

The piece: a carrier built like a hiking pack
From the front it looks like a tall rucksack. Two straps with side-release buckles run across the body, the sides are open mesh and there is a pocket low on the front. In the photos a French bulldog rides in the grey and red versions and a large white dog in the blue one.
We sell it without a brand; the small label with a paw print is the only mark on it. The supplier data gives no bag dimensions and no weight of the carrier itself.
Who it's for
For you if your dog likes to come along but cannot walk the whole way: an older dog on a long walk, or a small dog in a busy shopping street. It also helps on a bike ride or public transport, where a dog on your back takes less room than one on the floor.
Be honest with yourself about weight. The XL is rated for dogs up to 30 kg by the supplier, and 30 kg on your back is a lot for most people. With a big dog, keep it to short stretches.

Materials and build
The supplier describes the fabric as polyester; under our single-fibre rule that is written as 100% polyester. The sides are mesh, which lets air in and lets your dog look out. We have no weight for the carrier and no information about the inside or the base, so we cannot say how stiff the bottom is.
Size: measure your dog, not the bag
The size chart uses your dog's own measurements. Measure the chest at its widest point, the back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, and the neck where a collar sits. Then check the supplier's weight limit for that size. If your dog falls between two sizes on chest or back length, the larger size usually gives more room to sit.
S is for dogs up to 5 kg with a 43 cm back, and XL for dogs of 16 to 30 kg with a 68 cm back. Every weight figure is the supplier's own claim.

Pick a colour you can spot
Black and dark grey look like a normal rucksack and go with anything. Orange, red and blue are easier to see on a grey day or in a crowd, which is a good reason to pick them. Light grey sits in the middle.
When you would take it
Take it on a long walk where your dog tires halfway, or on the train when you visit family. On a Saturday at the market it keeps a small dog out from under the stalls and the feet.
Care
The supplier gives no care instructions. As general practice for polyester bags, brush out hair, wipe the inside with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, and let it dry fully before your dog goes back in. We would not put it in the washing machine without a label to go on.
The wow detail: your dog sees what you see
Look at the first photos: the bulldog rests its chin on the edge of the bag, right next to the wearer's shoulder. That is the point of the head-out design. Your dog looks around at your height instead of at a wall of legs, and you can hear every sigh.
