This striped maxi dress by Awama falls wide from the shoulders to the ankles. The front has a high boat neckline. The back opens in a deep V. There are no sleeves and no waist seam: it is one long, loose line with fine pinstripes.
The fabric is 85% viscose and 15% linen, and the maker adds a cotton lining. Lengths run from 133 cm in S to 136 cm in XL.

The piece: a trapeze dress, and an honest word on linen
The maker describes a loose, trapeze maxi dress with delicate stripes, a boat neckline at the front and a V-shaped open back, made for warm days.
The same text calls it a linen dress. The composition table is more precise: 85% viscose and 15% linen. So linen is in the blend, but viscose is the main fibre, and we would not call this a linen dress. The colours are navy blue, beige and a white version with thin dark stripes that the maker also files as beige.
Who it's for
For you if heat makes you want to wear as little structure as possible. Nothing in this dress touches the waist or the hips. Air moves under it when you walk.
It is long: 133 to 136 cm. On the model it reaches the ankle. If you are under about average height, plan for a small heel or a hem, or enjoy it sweeping the floor at home.

The supplier's text does not mention pockets. They are in use in several photos, so we are fairly sure, but it is not confirmed.
Fabric and feel: viscose with 15% linen, lined in cotton
The outer fabric is 85% viscose and 15% linen. Viscose gives it a soft fall; the linen adds a dry, slightly textured look, which you can see in the photos as a faint slub between the stripes.
The maker says the dress has a cotton lining and that it makes the dress more breathable. A lining also matters for the white and beige versions, where a single layer of light fabric could be see-through. The supplier lists the weight at 450 grams.
Fit and silhouette: only the chest needs to fit
The chest is the narrowest part: 96 cm in S, 100 cm in M, 106 cm in L and 112 cm in XL. From there the dress widens. The maker lists the waist at 110 to 126 cm and the hips at 120 to 136 cm.
So choose by your chest and let the rest hang. If you are between sizes, the smaller one keeps the armholes and the open back closer to the body, which most people will prefer.

Styling: flat sandals and little else
The photos show it with flat sandals and loose hair. That is the mood: easy, summery, a bit Mediterranean.
The open back decides your underwear. A bra with a low back, a bralette you do not mind showing, or nothing at all are the usual answers. A straw bag and big earrings dress it up for dinner. On a cooler evening, tie a thin sweater over the shoulders, which covers the V without hiding the dress.
Occasions
The maker calls it a dress for warm days. Think holidays, a beach dinner, a summer market, a garden lunch, or simply the hottest week of July at the office with a cardigan over the back.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no washing instructions, so follow the label sewn into the dress. With viscose, linen and a cotton lining in one garment, the label is the only safe guide.
In general these fibres dislike hot water and tumble dryers. Hang the dress to dry and steam it; the weight of the long skirt pulls most creases out.
The wow detail: the back
From the front this is the most modest dress in the room: high neck, covered to the ankle. Then you turn, and the back is bare in a long V. The stripes help. They run straight down on both sides of the opening and make the V look even deeper than it is.
