This sweatshirt dress by Tessita is made of soft cotton-rich sweat fabric, with a wide funnel collar, long sleeves and two pockets in the hip seams. The maker recommends it for colder days.
It ends above the knee, at 90 to 95 cm depending on the size, and comes in nine colours from XS to XXL.

The piece: nine colours by Tessita
Tessita sells through a Polish fashion wholesaler. Every colour of this dress is its own model, 184416 to 184423 plus 191815 for the newest one, and the description and size table are the same throughout.
The supplier's colour list is short on detail: green, black, beige twice, blue, pink, grey, white and red. In the photos green is a khaki, the two beiges are a darker mocha and a light sand, blue is a pale sky blue, grey is a melange and red is a deep burgundy.
Who it's for
For you if you want the comfort of a sweatshirt and still want to wear a dress. The cut is straight and roomy through the middle, so nothing pulls when you sit at a desk or in a car.
It runs from XS to XXL, with a hip measurement of 96 to 126 cm.

Fabric and feel: cotton-rich sweat fabric
The fabric is 70% cotton and 30% polyester. The supplier calls it a soft sweatshirt knit, the same family of fabric as a hoodie. It has the matte, slightly grainy look of sweat fabric in the photos, most clearly in the grey melange.
The supplier's text also names a textile certification. We have not seen the certificate ourselves, so we leave it out here.
Fit and silhouette: straight, with a band at the hem
The table shows a dress that widens from top to bottom. In size M the chest is 95 cm, the waist 102 cm and the hips 108 cm, with a length of 92 cm. Each size adds six centimetres in width and one in length.
The ribbed band at the hem then draws the dress in around the thigh, which gives the cocoon outline you see in the photos. Choose by your hip measurement if you want it to hang loose, and by your chest if you like it closer.

Styling: sneakers by day, boots when it gets cold
Every photo shows the dress with chunky white sneakers and bare legs. The supplier says it can go casual or more dressed, and the black and burgundy versions prove the second part: add opaque tights, ankle boots and a long coat and it works for the office.
The collar is wide enough to make a scarf unnecessary. A crossbody bag sits well on the straight line of the body.
Occasions
The maker calls it a choice for colder days. Think of working from home with a video call in the afternoon, a Saturday in town, a long train ride or a family visit where you want to be comfortable and look dressed.
Care: follow the label
The maker's data has no care instructions, so go by the label sewn into the dress. Cotton sweat fabric in general keeps its colour longer when washed inside out, which is worth doing with the black and the burgundy.
The wow detail: a collar you can sink into
The collar is cut wide and tall and falls in a soft fold around the neck. Pull it up and it covers your chin on a cold platform. Leave it down and it frames the face like a loose scarf. With your hands in the hip pockets, it is the most relaxed way we know to wear a dress.
