Think of your favourite big T-shirt, made long enough to wear as a dress. This oversized T-shirt dress from Infinite You is cut wide on purpose, in 92% cotton with 8% Lycra.

It comes in one size. The maker's table gives a length of 87 cm and a chest of 134 cm. You choose from six colours: yellow, green, pink, white, black and beige.

Infinite You lists the dress under six model numbers, 181283 to 181288, one for each colour. The description is identical for all six: a dress in a pleasant fabric with a wide cut that draws attention. The supplier adds that it is made in Poland.

The photos fill in the rest. There is a round neck with a narrow band, shoulders that drop onto the upper arm and wide sleeves that stop around the elbow. The body hangs straight. At the back the hem is a little longer than at the front, and below the neck sits a small label patch.

About the colours: the green is a soft sage, the pink is a bright raspberry pink, and the beige leans towards camel.

Who it's for

For you if you want to get dressed in ten seconds and still look like you thought about it. It is also for you if you dislike anything tight around the waist or the arms.

One size with a chest of 134 cm will fall wide on almost everyone. On a small frame it reads as very oversized, on a fuller figure as relaxed. The length of 87 cm is the number to check: on the model it ends above the knee, and if you are tall it will sit higher.

The maker does not mention pockets. In some photos the model's hands rest at the side seams, but we cannot confirm pockets from that, so count on none.

Fabric and feel: cotton with a little stretch

The composition is 92% cotton and 8% Lycra. Cotton makes up almost all of it, and the Lycra adds some give so the neck and the sleeves spring back after a day of wear.

The maker calls the fabric pleasant and leaves it at that. In the photos it looks like a smooth, fairly dense jersey that hangs in soft folds and is not see-through in the black or the colours. We cannot judge the white from a photo, so plan for skin-tone underwear with that one.

Fit and silhouette: straight, wide and above the knee

There is one size. The chest is 134 cm and the total length is 87 cm. Compare that with a T-shirt you own: lay it flat, measure across the chest and double it. You will see quickly how much wider this dress is.

The shape is a straight column from shoulder to hem. The back runs a little longer than the front, which you notice most from the side.

Styling: trainers first, then the rest

In every photo the model wears white trainers, and that is the easiest way to wear it. Add a crossbody bag and you are out of the door.

A belt changes it completely. Cinch it at the waist and the wide cut blouses over the top. In cooler weather, wear it over leggings or with tights and ankle boots, with a short jacket on top so the hem still shows.

Occasions

This is a dress for days off and warm days: a city trip, a terrace, the school run, a day at the beach over your swimwear. As a wide summer dress it is at its most useful when the temperature climbs, because nothing clings.

The black one can go to a relaxed office with loafers. The yellow and the pink are for holidays.

Care: follow the label

The maker's data has no care instructions, so follow the label sewn into the dress.

With cotton jersey in general it helps to wash colours with similar colours and to hang the dress on a hanger while damp. That saves ironing.

The wow detail: the hem that dips at the back

From the front it looks like a simple long T-shirt. Turn sideways and you see the back hem drop below the front. It is a small thing, but it gives a short dress a bit more cover when you sit down or bend over, and it makes the straight shape look less boxy.
